no big problem

The room and the hotel was just what we thought / paid for, a not expensive place to stay one night. We got what we paid for. Our only problem was that we were missing one washcloth, which was corrected quickly. Would stay there again.

I stayed at 500 Northern Blvd.

There are 2 and my reservation was for the one I was NOT at. It was no problem the manager called and transferred it. He said it happens alot. The room was average, the bathroom was newly done - very nice. It had a refrigator and microwave as well. Desk help was awesome. I did have a huge problem with the beds not having mattress covers. There was coffee in the front lounge area, not in the room.

terrible with no security

I was expecting old when I saw the price of this hotel because it is certainly cheap enough. It has a lot of maintenance issues which is probably to be expected but it smells musty, has tiles that are falling off and a toilet seat that is barely attached. The worst is that with those issues, they could have at least been helpful. I had to call for towels every day. We would get one towel for 3 people and Sunday they did not make up the room until 6 pm. Because the hotel is old, it does not have key cards on the doors and so it is left unlocked. We got in one night at 2 am and walked right in with no one at the desk. The back door was also left open and anyone could walk in - Lock your doors if you stay there.

Really wasn't that great

different things in the room needed fixing. I thought there was going to be a continental breakfast, there wasn't, just coffee that you had to walk to the lobby to get. [*]

Old, Funky, but Friendly

The place is obviously rather old and rundown. Think once turquoise tile in the bathroom painted over a beige, but you can still tell it was once turquoise. Also, the faucet was not secured/caulked, which was a little unnerving. But the bed was average/normal. There was free wi-fi. The room was much larger than needed, actually a little spooky being so large. The staff was very friendly and helpful though. I had a noodle bowl with me for my dinner and they let me get some water for their cooler and use their microwave in their coffee room.
