A getaway
My trip went well. The hotel was quiet, clean and the people were pleasant. The only draw back was I could not get enough towels for everyone in the room. I had to use towels from the preaveus day. If thats the worst thing than that's not so bad.

Perfect mid-price hotel
The hotel staff is great - friendly, knowledgable and prompt. Request for extra blanket was delivered in under 10 minutes. Room has great beds (so good we bought one for home after our last stay!) and a spacious bathroom that is somewhat soundproofed so early risers can let others sleep. Starbucks in the hotel as well as a sports bar with decent food are the limits of the food options (except for the hotel pantry with snacks) but there are ample decent restaurants around. Three drawbacks: - Registration is on the 2nd floor. There are elevators but it's a pain. - Parking is $10/night. The area isn't all that well developed that parking should cost anything for guests. - The 3rd floor rooms over the ballroom area are not soundproofed enough to let you sleep through a party in the 2nd floor ballrooms. Part of our extended family had 3rd floor rooms whose kids were woken up at 11pm on Christmas day by the party below them. Overall, these are somewhat minor issues but worth knowing.

The Fountain is a local dive with amazing italian food, burgers, and pizza. It's just down New Scotland Avenue about 6 blocks on the right hand side.

Good Choice
Stayed at this hotel because of price. We were here to see some hockey games. The Hotel was a bit far from the arena (1.5 miles)but that wasn't a problem because we both like to walk. The room was clean and comfortable, would consider staying again in the future.

Clean, comfortable and convenient.
Very clean, especially the bathroom, the beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. Room freshener smell was a bit strong though. Would stay again if I was in the area.

One in a thousand
When a hotel is this good, it becomes a vacation site in itself. When the staff is this friendly and helpful, everything you hope to do while visiting becomes easy to accomplish. My stay here felt luxurious, and I look forward to returning. I have traveled throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as America. Only a handful of hotels have been this delightful.

Great reasonable choice in Albany
Conveniently-located (if you have a car) for downtown Albany. Very reasonably-priced. Friendly staff. $10/day parking, but they didn't charge us!
