I needed a place to stay near the convention center. Most other places were booked, so I stayed here at a nicer hotel than I usually get. It's within walking distance of the convention center, the rooms are clean, and they have free wi-fi and a
Albany's not the most happening place, but the front desk people were able to recommend some parks and attractions nearby.
All in all a good hotel. Parking is $13 a night.
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, mostly
during spring visits. Have always been impressed with the
following: well maintained, helpful staff, convenient location
and overall pleasant hotel.
The hotel was in dowtown Albany, one side of the hotel was a run down neighborhood with people walking the streets all night. On the other side of the hotel was many college bars and clubs. The hotel itself was beautiful, friendly staff, free
breakfast each morning. This hotel was a little too far out of the wasy next time I will stay closer to the airport or the Northway.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
college bars and clubs, saratoga racetrack about 45 minutes
