Just Passing Trough
Great Value & Location
Our stay was 1 night as we were passing through from Adirondacks in NY to Boston. We found the n/s room to be clean and comfortable. The Buffet breakfast was a great amenity for the price. Will stay on future trips when our frequent travel/air travel takes us through Albany.Special mention to check in host [...], who was extremely courteous and efficient!!

Best Western 7/19/11
The room was fine. The TV picture quality reminded me of when cable was delivered through an antenna. The remote control didn't work, which was annoying. The "full complimentary breakfast" was disgusting and the lowest quality I have ever seen! Staff was friendly. The windows open in the room which helps to air out the stale smell in the room. Probably will not stay here again.

Busy Nurse
Very Retro
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for business since it was near my work. I found the interior to be quite dated, and it felt unclean. I have a suspicion that the bedsheets were not changed between guests as there was hair and makeup stains on the sheets and pillowcases. I hate carpeting in a hotel room, and the decor was dark and did not "feel" clean. Otherwise everything worked fine, and the frontdesk clerk was very friendly and helpful.

best western on western ave - OK place
Pretty clean room, nice facility, plenty of TV channels, helpful staff - but my hamburger from the Grill restaurant was about 90% pink, ugh - for food there's a boston market / dunkin/burgerking within a few blocks.

It served me well
I was in Albany for medical purposes and needed shuttle service to/from airport, hospital, and the shopping mall. They met all my needs courteously and promptly; my room was pleasant and clean. This for less than half the price of the more convenient hotel across from the hospital. My only suggestion is that a newer shuttle van would really up-class this hotel!

very comfortable
Spent 4 days there for a meeting. Meals, both for group and in 1228 Restaurant, were good. Breakfast included in room price. Very pleasant hotel. Multiple coffee shops within an easy walk. Small fridge and coffeemaker in the room were a nice touch. Multiple elevators spread around building, and stairs were handy. Lobby a bit warm because they kept the doors open, and occasionally the meeting room ran warm, but individual rooms were quite cool. A king-size bed and a good collection of furnishings left a bit less floor space than one might choose.
