Best Western in Albany

The Best Western worked out nicely for our needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a lively location with lots of kids and families. It clearly needs a bit of maintenance and updating. The room was little rough around the edges, but everything worked and for the price we certainly couldn't complain.

OK for a quick overnight.

We were there only a matter of hours due to an early flight. At checkin, the staff was friendly, but the lobby was very loud. We were given a room on the first floor - it must have been the hallway towards the pool. We heard people walking down that hall until well after midnight. The room appeared clean, but there was a crooked clothing rack and the door frame of the bathroom door was missing. The room could have used a lot of TLC. If I was there for any reason other than just trying to be close to the airport for an early flight, I would probably have packed up and found another place to stay. The hotel had 3 stars when I booked it. Obviously that was a generous rating.

" I would not recommend this hotel...."

Housekeeping at this hotel was terrible!! The sheets on the beds were never changed, unless we requested that service. But to make matters worse, the bathroom was gross. We also had to request that our bathroom be cleaned daily. I thought that these services were usual housekeeping duties. I was very disappointed!

Hotel

I have been to two hotels lately and both were not clean so I do not know what is going on with that. We visited friends in Upstate NY so it was close to the airport so that we did not have to travel very far once we landed.

Great service w/early shuttle to Apt

Shuttle to airport available as early as 4:15 AM. Park & Fly arrangement ($20.00 for up to two weeks) hard to beat. Very friendly and helpful staff.
