Val-U Motel

we were in winnemuccafor my sons wretling tournamnet. I paid $82 with tax for a room taht was woth 1/2 of that. I would not recccomend this room next time Ill save my cash and sleep in the back of the suv

Place is old and very run down! Dirty and needs lots of help. Except for the front desk this is a negative rating.

We were in Winnemucca for a middle school wrestling tournamnet, so we had limited choices as many places were already booked. Our room was clean so that was a plus, however, the motel itself is long overdue for a remodel/upgrade The price of $80 /night was VERY High for what we got

the check in was good staff very friendley but the room stunk I used a new can of forbreze in the room the carpet were stained (pet frendly hotel) if you know what I meen I did not dare walk on carpet with out scokes on . the bath room needed a lot of work I would not recamend this to my worst enemey , thums down on this one

Well it is sad to say that this Hotel is a DIVE, for the price its not even worth it. The halways smelled like urine or ammonia and the room itself the towel smelled of straight bleach and were so stiff they could have stood on their own. The bathroom had bugars stuck to the walls the ceiling was spotted very badly with something and there was greasy looking dust all over the fan in the bathroom. The mini fridge ran all the time and sound like a semi truck ideling. The only nice thing was that it was less than a half mile from the casinos. The NEW receptionist however was very nice but the owner slash manager was very rude. It really was not worth the 62.00 dollars a night. If I can at all help it I will never stay there again.

If it were not the circumstances of needing a place to sleep late at night on a long road trip with no room anywhere else in town, we wouldn't have stopped here. This was perhaps the most smarmy motel we have ever stayed at. The hallways and carpet were dingy & dirty, the non-smoking room quite stinky. We did not dare pull the covers back to sleep on the beds. The night clerk was quite rude as well.

This was a nice place once but has fallen into disrepair. The service was okay, the room acceptable, good TV and channels, stayed 3 days and asked for my room not to be made up so I can't comment on the maid service. The hallways were dirty with worn out stained carpets, everything looked worn out, every room looked like it had been broken into at one time, and there was some rough looking characters about the place. I didn't have the wife along, good thing because she wouldn't have set foot in the place.

hotel was run down and needed a great cleaning, carpets were stained and rooms were not cleaned well. all edges needed vaccuumed, walls needed wiped down, stuff under the beds that should of been taken care of overnight. staff was very nice , but I will choose to stay elsewhere next time.

Everything was fine except the bed.

The two previous nights of [...] reservations were just fine; therefore, we expected that this same/similar rated motel would be same/similar. On the contrary, though the front desk lady was kind and helpful, we were totally repulsed at the OUTward appearance of the motel and could not imagine what the conditions/cleanliness would be INside (Note listings above). We did something we have never done: we left in search of another motel, sacrificing our pre-paid reservation![...]
