Ridge View

The staff was fantastic, The view of Lake Tahoe was fantastic, They gave Me a bottle of a good quality Champagne, Which added to the start of an excellent relaxing weekend. The condo was clean, Well stocked kitchen, A dinning table, A nice fireplace, Two bathrooms, The bed was very comfortable (The pullout on the sofa was not, But that is the only thing I could knock on this vacation) Sure the faucets were older, But well cared for, If You have to have everything perfect You many want to check in to the Ritz for $1200 a night, But for $85.00 a night this place is perfect & quiet. I am already looking at dates to return, Thank You Ridge View Resort, (And Yes, It is a true resort with all the amenities) for an excellent weekend.

No one and service around. Door is locked. There is no normal hotel look lobby. There is an elevator, some carts for luggage transport. Then I figured it out, it is a self-help BABIN like place. So, I check it around and find the "FRONT" desk number. I called and I was told to open a locker by a given code. My checkin package is in a envelop. Eletrical Key and was welcomed by a letter. The building seems a construction camp. Very simpele. But it is nicea nd clean inside. With a kitchedn and fireplace.

The property was beautiful and the views are amazing. The staff was friendly and the room/condo was comfortable. The only complaint is the pull-out couch in the living area. The mattress is extremely thin and you sink in the middle (feeling that horrible bar). It was a very rough night on that couch. Great place if you don't plan on using the pull-out couch.

There is no lobby and the decor is very dated. But the 1bdrm condo is large, clean and comfortable. Most importantly, it sports a full kitchen and an amazing lake view. Very close to stagecoach lift. If you don't mind taking a shuttle to get to the nightlife, it's the best option we've found for the price.

We drove into the surrounding towns and often went out to eat in the area. The best place was Sushi Pier near Heavenly. They have great sushi and even offer an all day, all you can eat deal. The price is around $19.00 for lunch and $25.00 for dinner. Another amazing thing was the size of all the pine cones in the area. We found that the larger ones are at the upper area of the mountain, where the resort is. They make great souvenirs! We've never seen them so big!

Nice deal in South Lake Tahoe. You're away from the large hotels and casinos in a quiet location. The stunning view rewards you for the 10 minute drive away from the lake up the mountain on the Nevada side. I have stayed at a sister hotel in the winter as well with similar positive experience. That's because you are in walking distance or at least a short shuttle ride away from the Stagecoach lift on the NV side of Heavenly. The rooms are spacious with a large living room, dining room, fully stocked kitchen and a separate bed room. You can thus comfortably sleep 4 people or with 2 people you'd have more space than most couples living in SF, lol. You can also use the amenities of the main hotel a short drive away.

The room was just great, perfect view of the snow mountains and lake. The price of the hotel was a great deal for what we got! Friendly staff, the complimentary hotel transportation to and from is just an extra bonus!
