Fantasic value

The Horizon hotel was very clean and comfortable and excellent value for the low price we paid. The room was very large, the bed comfortable and everything was clean. The location was great. Close walking distance to several other major casinos.

Great value

The Horizon Casino Resort was a great deal. The room was clean and quite comfortable. The view from the window of Lake Tahoe was magnificent. The location was wonderful. It was a short walk to the other casinos which made it quite easy to take advantage of their activities as well ( Cabara shows, Improv Comedy, Arcades, Slots , etc.) I would recommend this as a place to stay for family or business.

smokey hotel

It was a choking experience at checking in, the lobby smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. I felt nauseated. The smoke travels all the way to the kids arcade, restaurants, and lobby. The room was cold but I was given a small heater to use. The building had a leaky ceiling with water and it driped on customers. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.

Lacking Supervision

There was confusion when we checked in. The clerk was not familiar with the casino promotions. She directed us to the Players club, but we had to go back to the desk to enter the promotion event. The room, while fairly clean, but needed updating. The carpet was worn and the blankets on the bed were torn.

Other casinos were within a short distance from the Horizon. It was fun to play at different ones; especially, when the slots at Horizon were rather tight.

Nice Hotel

The hotel was clean and nice but upon checkout I was charged a $5.00 per night per room fee. I did not read their newspaper nor drink their bottle water and will not stay there again because of this.
