Harrahs Okay
Nice hotel but stale smoke stinks up the entire casino level including the reception area. spacious rooms but hard pillows and sheets not very luxourious. Good value for money in the off season. Buffet great and so is the American River Cafe in basement - especially the rib eye steak.

A trip back to the 50's
This hotel is about one and half blocks from the Heavenly Gondola stop (walking distance)--which was the major purpose for the trip. The lifts close at 4:00 pm, so the evening was free to gamble--if desired. Of course the hotel allows smoking in the casino area--but we did have non-smoking rooms. The hotel itself reminded me of Las Vegas in the 1950's. The best feature of the room was two bathrooms. The TV was out-dated and you had to pay for internet service. The fitness center consisted of four very sad machines--one of which was out of order. The restaurant was high-priced, but there are a number of places at Heavenly Village (where the gondola runs) which are good and competitively priced.

Harrahs Hotel
The Harrahs Hotel was centered right in the heart of Heavenly. It was beautiful well lit and decorated for the Holidays. The atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable. Affordable dinning at the bottom floor of hotel great service. Casino was fun and there were sociable dealers that made the tables more fun. I enjoyed this trip so much my boyfriend and I would really like to come again!!!

Short drive from hotel
The Gondola ride is right next door at the Marriot Hotel, a walking distance of like a minute or two. Also the heavenly ski spot as well as tubing was right within 5 mins of the Harrahs Hotel. Everything was so near by, great for winter time when roads are a little more dangerous than other times of the year.

Had a great time!!
We had a great time. Excellent location. Only about a block from the gondola that takes you to Heavenly Ski Resort. We also rented our skis right there at the hotel. There is a great steakhouse at the top of the hotel with delicious food and an awesome view. Will definitely go back.

The river cafe is really good. Don't order fancy food here, order the normal burger and plate dishes and you will love the food. This is the home of Captain crunch french toast.

Great location and security for spouse
Our two stays at Harrah's one in September and this last in January was mainly due knee replacement surgery for my husband at Barton Hospital in So. Lake Tahoe. My husband was released from the hospital early. Your policy starts no refunds for early check out. What's up with that?
