Tahoe in the Summer

This was my first trip to Tahoe, while the hotel may not be 5 plus stars like new ones in Vegas all that is made up with the view of Tahoe. The staff was great and the hotel is close to all you need to have a great stay.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Take one of the lake boat tours and see how beautiful it really is. Also a short walk is the tram to the top of one of the hills for a great view of the lake.

Overpriced and poor customer service

I am very unhappy with this place! Our bathroom flooded, all our luggage got wet and the manager didn't seem to care...very poor customer service! After complaining a couple of times, he offered to "let us" use another room so we could take showers before checking out...after ruining our morning we just left. Besides that, over priced...even want you to pay for the instant coffee they leave in your "mini bar" fridge...slots are so tight...save your money! Every other place we stayed on our vacation was so much nicer and customer friendly!

Harrah's Golf Tourney

The stay at Harrah's was great. I think it is excessive how many things cost an additional amount at this hotel. Wifi is an additional charge as well as coffee in the morning. Things like those should be perks for staying at a nice place and not charged additional for.

Harrah's Lake Tahoe Casino Hotel

My experience at this hotel was excellent. Even though I booked through a discount travel website for 25% off the regular room price of ninety nine dollars for a lower floor without a view, when I asked for a free upgrade they gave us a room on the 10th floor with a view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. It was however the off season between skiing and the summer crowd so don't expect this treatment during peak periods or when they are having convention like meetings. We had dinner at Friday's Station Steak & Seafood Grill, located on the top floor of Harrah’s hotel tower. I had a 16 oz prime rib cooked to perfection accompained by a hemongus baked potato, eithier of which I could not completely finish. The wife had a 10 oz filet which she barely finished. Dinner for two with no salad or desert was approximately a one hundred dollars. We had a dinner table by the window overlooking the lake, and Harvey's across the road, and the waitress was excellent.

Good times !

The whole experience here was excellent. The staff here were all very courteous. I won a jackpot and the slot manager Ryan treated me like a king. The only complaint I have is the loud housekeeping staff yelling to each other in the hallway as I try to sleep. Otherwise the service exceeds the value.

The steakhouse on the 16th floor has the best view in Tahoe ! Very good service and elegant surroundings. Perfect spot to impress a date. Dinner for 2 was about $120 with a few rounds of drinks
