No real issue with hotel itself

Would not recommend Fri, Dec 25, 2015
My only real beef about the room was that housekeeping knocks on your door @ the crack of dawn and if you want something none of them speak a lick of english real beef is with the casino figuring tha wv is part of the peppermill this would be decent this casino is absolutely abysmal to make matters worse casino staff are extremely unpleasant and rude and mug you every chance they get. Takes forever and tons of losing big to actually acrue any points or comps the food in the hotel i would recommend ib a heart beat hotel only if you stay away from the casino

Would recommend Mon, Nov 9, 2015
I truly enjoyed my time at Western Village Inn at the Marina. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was better than I expected and the housekeeping staff was very friendly. When I return to Reno I will not hesitate to book another room at this hotel.

Same as always. Consistently a goo value for money. Forrest at front desk is awesome. The property is right next to a man made lake I can walk around each morning. That's added value.

Decent for super cheap

Would recommend Mon, Oct 12, 2015
I think we paid $20/night for our Western Village room, so when ya keep that in mind, this place was a steal. It's located adjacent to the Sparks marina, which is pretty and has swimming, paddle boarding, walking paths, and a playground. However, when they say a room has a marina view, it just means facing the back parking lot. There's a small casino on the property as well. There were a few fast food and strip mall places nearby, so location wasn't terrible, but we had to drive most of the places we wanted to visit. It is right next to some trucker travel plaza too, so be prepared for lots o' big rigs and haggard looking men in the area. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean. It was a little noisy but we were by the elevator. I found the room comfortable enough... Not luxurious but definitely WAY more than you'd expect for $20/night. The shower head was very short, to the point of inducing laughter (it was fine for me, at 5'0, but my 5'11 husband had to do some crouching). Wifi had a weak signal but it was included at no extra fee. The property could use some work: Vending machine in the lobby was broken, door to our wing was jammed and off kilter, landscaping was a little ragged. It led to a cheap appearance (but hey, it's an inexpensive place). I would absolutely recommend Western Village if you need a cheap but comfortable place to stay in the Reno area. No real frills but no I am afraid to touch that, either.

Business Trip

Would not recommend Fri, Oct 9, 2015
Rooms were clean and fairly up to date décor. WiFi was very slow at best. There were some character type people that were looking for opportunities or?? that hung out around the parking lot. More security to move these people off grounds would be nice.
