The Odor

First let me say for the price, $35, I'd stay again. But the odor of stale ashtrays permiates the building. Okay, I get the casino and the elevators and the common areas are under constant attack from egocentric self-destructive fools... but the room hallways and the non-smoking rooms? Other casinos do a much better job of minimizing the stench for their non-smoking guests. Oh, and it was very crowded on a non-holiday Friday night. Guess low price trumps all.... On second thought, I'd pay more for a hotel cleansed by a better housekeeping and maintenance team

DOGS ARE NOT FREE

The Sands Regency advertises itself as pet friendly; but it doesn't say that it cost $15.00 plus tax for each night. And, your credit card is charged and extra $50.00 just in case the maid thinks your dog did some damage. I am told it is refundable after 7 to 10 days, i will have to wait and see. Also, the pet friendly rooms were used for folks with pets only; the whole wing of the hotel had that friendly pet smell. I stayed there because of the rate but when you add in the price for a dog, i could have up-graded and got away cheaper.

Shabby

totally shabby experience, they never had my reservation had to wait 20 minutes till they recovered it, the room was very run down shabby worn carpets, no TP in bathroom, no ice bucket or fridge, no ice machine anywhere, the non-smoking room had obviously been smoked in, if I hadn't already been billed I would have left. Not good not good at all !

You get what you pay for

Long line for check in. My cheaptx confirmation had not arrived at the hotel before I arrived, so I was required to stand at check in counter for a long time while there were many tired and impatient people behind me. The hotel did let me check in before Cheaptx sent the confirmation, but I had to be on the phone with cheaptx for over half an hour to get everything sorted out. The entire hotel smelled of stale beer and cigarettes, but you really can't beat the price, so I will probably go back.

Meh - for $12 more I should have gone to Sahara

Title says it all... The room was alright looking, the bed wasn't that great, the view was neither good nor bad. There is not even a mini fridge The AC/Heater unit is louder than a herd of Rhino's You can't use the bath tub! seriously, why have a huge spacious beautiful bath tub, but no way to plug it to enjoy a warm bath! where the heck is the logic in this?! The towels are small / short again, the room was -loud-. Like lots of white noise. Honestly, spend the extra $12-$14 and go to The Sahara around the corner.
