Disappointed
On the positive side, the room was clean and quiet. However, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in over the last 20 years. The room was very outdated and the elevators were inadequate.

Met minimums --ok, but disapointing......
WE did stay at the Ramda Hotel on Sept. 1. The room was ok, but seemed unclean...we did not go barefoot on the room carpet. The bathroom stool and tub had rust marks and looked not clean or kept up. The location was not safe...we did not leave the premises...And the attached casino was smooky and did not help the hotel area. The shuttle was good, and food was good. The sleep was also good.. NEEDS MAJOR UPDATING...will never stay there again. SORRY.

Bed Bugs!
This Should be NEGATIVE STARS for this place! Walked in and was welcomed and got into our room. Sat down for few mins and was about to lay down and SPOTTED BED BUGS! Pictures and videos were taken of the BED BUGS with my phone as evidence. I made my way down to the front desk and talked to the receptionist and they were "shocked" after the pictures and video were shown to the staff (Keith). The manager was paged but NEVER showed up. I ended up asking for a room change in which they did. During the whole conversation, there wasnt even a friendly apologize given to me for the unconvinced. As I made my way to room number two, first thing I did was check the bed to make sure there was no bedbugs due to being TRAUMATIZED by the first room. NEVERTHELESS I had found another bedbug/ larva on the mattress again! ONCE AGAIN, I took pictures and videos of what i had fun in disbelieve. I went down to the front desk and was greeted by the same staff (Keith) again. His friend words to me was "What now?!"... Talk about BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.... Once again I had showed in the pictures and video of the bug but yet he was disbelieve of all these stuff I was showing him. The manger (Scott?) was once again called but did not show up.After I told him I am not willing to stay here any longer due to these two incidents I was done with this hotel, he was not a happy camper. He did not say a word to me and gave me the evil look. He just started to type something out. I had to ask him to double check that I will not be charged for this stay. He wrote out a note that I will not be charged due to several problems. This whole ordeal, there was no APOLOGY to me at all. Thanks to them, I had the wonderful job of looking for another place to stay at midnight on a friday night during labor day weekend! WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!

What Happened to Ramada?
The Beds were too hard. The pillows were "flat" so we need at least 2-3. The extra pillows were worse. The pool was cold and no Spa. The room needed Microwave and Refridgerator.

Bad Location
Was going to go for a walk the first evening and the bellman said, I don't think you want to do that. The staff in the restaurant were very good. Although suposably non smoking, because of the proximity to the casino and an open passage way, the loby smelled smokey. Also, the stairwells, staff obviously used them to smoke in.

Business Meeting
Selected this hotel after I found out the original place had no heat and it was 42 degrees when I arrived. Hadn't planned to stay here originally as this hotel was further away from meeting site. Excellent stay, though. Hotel is conveniently located, staff are friendly and efficient. Casino is small, but has most games. Good restaurant. Enjoyable stay

New motor test run
Was able to book my reservation with no notice. Had already stayed 1 night and the desk clerk suggested going online in their lobby in order to book another nights stay for the best deal. And she was right. Very helpful employees. Not on the strip, but they do have a shuttle so you can park your car. Small Casino with limited dining options.

You get what you paid for
It wasn't all that great. Not really clean, bed is hard, pillows were too flat. Took 3 calls to get towels and extra pillows.

Great, nice staff. Friendly and helpful. Ther room was comfortable, clean and nice. The only problem was the location. During the day it was fine, but at night it get's a little sketchy. Felt very safe inside the hotel.

Nightlife tip:
Long walk from hotel
Take a car or cab to the nightlife. Downtown Reno is pretty down to earth but don't walk downtown in the middle of the night.

Perfect for a college kid
This was my first trip out of my home state alone. I live on the east coast and stayed here for my trip to Reno. The staff was very courteous, and my room was very clean. The shuttle from the airport was practically on demand and free, but I tipped the driver. I actually was able to walk to the major part of Reno while at this hotel. I did some casino hopping. So if you alone, with your significant other, with kids who can and don't mind walking you really don't need to rent a car here. I really can't think of what the hotel was missing. It was a great hotel, and perfect for what I spent. Stay here in Reno you won't regret it!
