Not too bad

This place is no frills old style mecahnical room keys instead of card style which is a little creepy. Average breakfast. Getting to a restaurant isn't too bad. Nice TV but not flat screen. Old equipment like clocks and hair dryer. Electrical outlets didn't look very safe but they worked. bathroom sink no hot water. Shower was hot but not the sink. Maybe try a Motel 6 next time.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There's a Denny's pretty close. Try Naan and Kabab which is across from the Peppermill. Very nice cuisine.

Great basic lodging

Great location, easy check in, very clean room, and a great bargin. Even though it is less than 5 mins from the airport, we never heard a plane. Perfect location for early flights. Also, great location for Mt.Rose Ski area. Downside, beds are hard and pillows are flat. Other than that a great buy on a budget.

Reno

I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was very nice and quiet despite being right next to the airport. The staff was wonderful. My only "complaint" was that there was not enough seating for breakfast and no trays to take your breakfast back to your room.

Nice, clean, reasonable prices

Good service. Ice machine is in outdoor corridor and wasn't working (frozen, I think). Rooms quiet, clean and neat. No casinos or dining nearby that I could see. Nice hotel for the price.

La Mediocre

(Room 141) Room was for person(s) with disabilties. Unnecessary for our needs. Shower curtain, when closed, made shower inordinately dark. Difficult to take shower in dark and opening curtain causes water leakage. Cold water knob is opposite (counter clockwise provides less cold instead of more), making setting temperature difficult/possibly dangerous. Alarm clock was plugged into outlet connected to wall switch, so every time you turned off the wall switch the clock would reset to 1200 and have to be reset and necessary to keep wall switch in the up position, disabling the means of being able to turn on the light as one enters the room. One light bulb (at desk) was out. Black out curtains did not close, causing concern for privacy. Breakfast room was over-crowded and not adequate for number of guests. Staff was very friendly and very helpful.Comments were provied to staff upon checkout, who indicated matters would be looked into.

Mediocre rooms at best.

Front lobby-very good. Continental breakfast and waffles-very good. Staff- friendly and helpful, no complaints. Location- by the airport, off the freeway next to the high school and a trucking facility. Safe, but nothing around. Rooms- typical strange design that La Quinta's have. The sink is in the room which does not give you a large place to privately change clothes. Dirty, worn, stained carpet, they do allow animals. This one did not smell like animals. Toilet was not flushing on arrival, maids should point that out to maintenance before I get there. Maintenance was fast and friendly. Sandpaper for toilet paper, bring your own. Tub shower worked, but the tub is high so the floor is an extra 4 inches lower when you step out- a poor design. The room left me not wanting to touch things even. Price- good when others were charging 3 times the normal rates due to an event.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Claim Jumper- awesome dinner, good steaks and vegetarian too. (Keitzskli lane and McCarren) Good price. Ruby River steakhouse across from the Pepper-mill is good too.
