Great Value for the Room!
We scored a great room price at Harrahs in Reno on the Friday before Superbowl. The room was gorgeous and comfy. The view was amazing and the bedding was crisp and clean. The dining was kind of a poor-quality, expensive drag; but the property is located across the street from quality food at great prices.

Great rail destination.
The Hertz lady was great. Room service was good. The smoke-filled lobby followed us to the smoke-free room. Wait-staff seemed indifferent. Starbucks was also good, and the irony was their No Smoking sign. We expected to get fresh towels on day 2, and we didn't. For convenience, the hotel is across the street from the Amtrak train station.

Take a 30 minute road trip to Virginia City. It's charming. Commercial businesses that don't look commercial. Fascinating history. A tourist destination that's also a real life small town. And, a small herd of wild horses was grazing off the shoulder of the road.

Nice place to stay in a not so clean city.
The hotel was nice, the buffet was nice, my tv was a little fuzzy noisy.. but it was a nice place to stay in a pretty gross city. Deal is I would stay here again if I ever planned to go to Reno again, but the problem is I NEVER plan to go to Reno again. Pretty depressing place to vacation.

I lived in reno in the 1970's and Harahs was the place to stay an see shows. The property needs sum TLC. worn carpets paint chipping worn furniture in the rooms. The scantily clad women trying to get the guys to play table games looks desperate. Needs a little class. It was windy and the windows were letting in cold air and rattled terribly. only there for 1 night and it was inexpesive but i would not recommend this for a luxury place.
