In a nutshell if you are looking for 1970's decor, old/rough/cheap towels and lumpy beds the Grand Sierra is the place to stay.

The staff from the front desk to the restaurants with one exception were rude and unhelpful. Rooms were fine. Check-in was understaffed and rude. There are many other properties in Reno. Don't waste your time here.

This Hotel is just catered toward young kids which are there just to party and get drunk. I could hear music and loud banging nosie all night long. I called management to ask if they can keep the nosie down. - but hotel management could care less and was very rude!! In fact I expect a full refund for my stay there. It was horrible !! What about the customer that pay good money to stay there and like to get a good night sleep.

Very poor attitude of staff through out the hotel. Check-in staff were rude. With one exception the cafe staff were rude or indifferent. There were very nasty about standing in the correct lines etc. Room was just ok, nothing special. Not recommended. There are many other hotels in Reno that seem happy to have your business. This hotel does not seem to be glad to have you there.

We had a room right next tot he band! We got up and left at 11pm as the whole room was shaking! Bed poor! Service in dining room was slow. Very poor place to stay.

Hotel did not honor the Orbits reservation, said they did not receive it. Had to pay out of pocket. Staff on autopilot, no caring or compassion. Room seemed old and dated. Everything closed early, no 24 hour service as expected. Will never go back to this hotel/casino.

My wife and I were in town for a family BBQ and stayed at the Grand Sierra. I phoned down to the desk 3 times for noise. there were screaming and partying kids right beside us and music so loud at the pool that it rattled the windows with the thumping and we were on the 15th floor. Nothing was ever done.

My husband and I wanted a nice quiet getaway, unfortunately upon our arrival, he became sick, we had a reservation , but could not check in till 3pm. We were told that the hotel was booked the night before and they had nothing available till 3. Asked the hotel manager if there was anyplace to go that would be quiet so my husband could rest and we were told to sit in the lobby.Very unsatisfified with that,this hotel with such great reviews and customer service , we were appalled. We finally checked in at 1:10 after many complaints to the staff, . Kids were running in the halls past 11pm, room service never picked up the phones , front desk never picked up the phones, vending machines didn't work. My husband and I checked out the next day and returned to Vegas where the accommodations are suitable and customer service is held in high regard. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice quiet getaway.Definitely needs alot of upgrades.

The room was dirty found used Q-Tips and dirty tissues in the room. They gave me two double beds when I requested 1 King and I even offered to pay extra. The service was terrible and the place was an overall dump. The picture is an absolute joke and looks nothing like it. You would get better value at a Motel at least the rooms and carpet would be clean.

Not too many things are more alarming that loud screaming pipes at 5:30-6:00 AM! The room smelled very moldy, the bathroom was barely clean. The grand Sierra is pretty far from most things. Customer service was great. Almost forgot the random puddles of water all over the carpets and furniture... Not the best experience, definitely NOT guaranteed satisfaction!
