The Grand Sierra Resort has it all. Spa, golf, transportation to Lake Tahoe and the ski slopes, go-carts, Starbucks, 5 excellent restaurants, and of course a world class Casino!!
Whether it is business or pleasure that brings you to Reno, this is
the best VALUE I have found in my six trips to Reno.
This hotel is only a 40 min. drive to Truckee. We stay here often for our ski trips. The location is a about a mile from the main casinos in downtown Reno, but there's plenty to do here. They have a 50 lane bowling alley, movie theater ($3 only!),
huge arcade, a decent buffet, Round Table Pizza and Johnny Rockets, and several highend, specialty restaurants.
We reserved a standard room, but they upgraded us to a newly remodeled Summit room! Nice!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Sometimes your check-in receipt has a VIP pass for the buffet. This pass lets you go in the buffet's VIP line which is shorter.
I went only needing a hotel room -- but I ended up enjoying all the other features to the resort -- Restaurant Row provided many options to dine, the casino area was very comfortable, and the staff super nice and helpful. I wlll definitely stay at
the GSR again.
The staff at the Grand Sierra were very friendly and pleasant. The price was unbelievable and the rooms were fantastic. This hotel has lots to offer in the way of food and fun. I absolutely reccomend this hotel for all ages. Couldn't get better in
any way. If you're looking to have a good time at an affordable price in Reno the Grand Sierra is deffinitley the perfect place.
