Utilitarian

We just needed an overnight pit stop on our way to the mountains after a day of flying. All I required was clean-clean beds, clean rooms, clean bathrooms, and quiet. Check on all. The decor and bathroom weren't the most modern, but for the price, that's ok. The a/c made a high pitched whining noise in the morning after I turned the temperature up, thank goodness we were leaving, that was annoying. I could hear the neighbors rustling in their closet placed next to our bathroom, but nothing clearly. The lobby's pantry was convenient, esp. with my 2 y/o son. I didn't know the hotel was pet friendly, as there were 4 different dogs spotted while checking out.

a good conference venue

Attended a large conference in the hotel and the facilities were perfect for our group's needs (large enough for a banquet, easily converted into break out rooms). The guest room hallways were very dated and the 'shopping' area on the lower floor was drab and sparse, but overall an okay place to spend a few days.

Grand Sierra Resort Casino

The room was great bed was comfortable. The location is away from everything (downtown). There are many activities (bowling/movies/ok shops/some over priced food/aqua driving range) at the resort but I was getting a bit antsy and bored and wished more venues where in walking distance.

Nice location with many activities.

Resort is convenient because of variety of food and entertainment all under one roof. Staff was friendly. [...]. The movie theater, bowling alley, candy store, and many shops were reasonably priced and well maintained. Our standard room was spacious and the cleaning service was cordial. Shuttle bus to/from airport was courteous and convenient. You can book virtually any Nevada activity at the office on site.

It's Reno

The hotel was fine. At Check in all of the rooms that we had booked were unavailable so they gave us a little upgrade which was ok. Really it was just a place to sleep because we spent our days up at lake tahoe skiing. You have to remember that this is Reno and not Vegas. Most of the hotels up there are not new and will have older features.

Not so bad

Good thing about it was that they had Kids Fun Zone, Bowling nad movies for just $3. They have good resturants also in their lower level shopping area. Bad thing was that there was no water in my room on third day and I have to move to a different room which was a pain.

Worth every penny

Loved our dinner, liked the non-smoking gambling area, and it was so large it didn't feel over crowded. However, even though we had reservations, check in took one hour waiting in line behind people without reservations. The wait was horrible! But, I would still go here, I hope it was unusually busy that night. Also getting to the front entrance was kind of confusing it felt like we were in a maze.
