I stayed 2 nights and I found it comfortable. That's what is basically needed when traveling and spending nights away from home. My view was the big ball from the next door casino. I would have preferred a better view. The room was kept well and the bathroom was cleaned very well. I would stay here again when I'm back in the area.

Cheap fun...
The rooms at the Eldorado in Reno were old and not updated. They also charged for WIFI which is old school practice at lower end hotels. The pool area was small with a bar that was not open and NO food service around the pool..

Great choice for Reno
The El Dorado Hotel in Reno was very nice. The lobbies are extremly nice. I did have to wait in a line to check in, but it was a Friday. I really liked that they always had security guards at the elevators. The location was excellent! We had our children with us and everyone was still very friendly. The bathrooms were also very nice. Overall, I would rate our stay Excellent!!

Casino staff are horrible
The hotel staff were nice, even friendly sometimes. But the casino staff were horrible. Every blackjack dealer we had was rude and/or obnoxious. One of them actually made cat calls to women who walked by the table. Constantly. It was very offensive. The casino is pretty small and the slots weren't that good. The food in the cafe was very good but the staff was very rude. I went down for a cup of coffee one morning and was met with an almost hostile barrista. The host staff at the cafe were young kids with no manners and the wait staff left a lot to be desired. We spent most of our time next door at the Silver Legacy where everybody was much nicer. And both hotels are owned by the same people. Go figure. The location was good--close to many other casinos. The room was nice and clean. The beds weren't that comfortable. I definitely would not stay there again.

GOOD PRICE FOR GREAT LOCATION
Eldorado is dead center in downtown reno. We walked outside and we were on the strip for the old school car show, Hot August Nights. The economy room is coo for what it is. It actually looks like a normal size room w/o a balcony. The room was clean and housekeeping was very attentive. There was a small T.V:( but a stocked fridge w/ expensive snacks. We arrived at 9AM and they were able to check us in at 10AM. Free parking w/ validation at check in counter. Don't ask employees for directions. Nobody knew where a credit union was located. Aside from that I liked the hotel. The hotel is connected to Silver Legacy and Circus Circus.
