Excellent Hotel bargain

The hotel was easily accessible and close to other major hotels. The room was large and clean. The casino was ample and we were able to see a great musical show that night. Good value.

I got a free update

When signing in, I got a free update from the front desk manager. I dont know if it was because they got my name incorrectly spelled or what. They called it a suite but it was an unbelievably large room with a jacuzzi in the room. It was a corner room on the 18th floor. The first night their local baseball team was having fireworks after the game. The ballpark was 2 blocks from the hotel Watching the fireworks was incredible I doubt. In addition, they gave a coupon book as well as email coupons. They were for newspapers, coffee at their coffee shop as well as buy one and get one free breakfast ath the buffet. This was well worth using the coupons The hotel was well run and in their casinos were mostly penny slots.

Satisfactory Weekend Getaway

First trip to Reno. Pleased with the hotel accommodations and staff. Major drawback - wireless internet services only free on TV. To access these services on my laptop had to pay a fee. Would like to have had more places to purchase a variety of gifts and souvenirs, especially for infants and children.

Won't return

The El Dorado wasn't what we expected at all. The room I paid an "upgrade" for was nothing more than an average room, the food from 2 different restaurants made us feel sick afterwards, the wifi was not included like they said when I called prior to booking, they were remodeling rooms above us early in the morning, the manager really didn't care and we will not return. We will be going to Reno for the next 3 years but will never stay at the El Dorado again and will tell anyone we can to find somewhere else to stay.

Spring break week

The hotel itself is decent. However, ppl are pretty loud and you can even hear housekeeping in the morning. The hotel resort fee does not include wi-fi, which is pretty standard in all hotels now. Most of the rooms are smoking and it's very annoying when you are traveling with kids. Getting in and out of the parking garage is annoying. You have to get the tickets validated. They should just open the garage to public.
