Didn't have my room when I arrived

When I arrived at the hotel with my daughters the receptionist informed me that they were overbooked and they did not have a two bed non smoking room as I requested and which I had paid for through [...]. My choices were a smoking room which the person in front of me had declined and the receptionist said was horrible or a room with one king bed and a couch. I have a double bed at home and this king bed was far smaller than my double. My daughter ended up sleeping on a sticky fake leather couch. The room is old and the bed is lopsided and small. The sheets are old. The room itself was clean, but old. I will make every effort to make my reservations earlier and stay at The Sands or Circus Circus (they were full this time so I chose this instead, pretty disappointing).

Okay for the price

Staff was very accomodating on requests for extra pillows and microwave. Room was somewhat small but very clean... Did smell like cleaning products when we first got there, had to let room air out. Bedding was warm and mattresses were very comfortable especially given that all in our group have bad backs. Some scummy characters in the area and loud noises but it seemed to quiet down by around 10-11pm.

WOW

WOW, WHEN I FIRST WENT TO CHECK IN THE CLERK ASKED ME IF ME AND MY FRIEND WERE STRIPPERS, THEN WE HAD A CREAPY CORNER ROOM, THE A/C HAD DUCKED TAPE ON IT, THE SCREEN FOR THE WINDOW WAS KNOCKED OFF, THE FRIDGE HAD NO PLACE TO PLUG IT IN TO EXCEPT TO THE PLUG IN THE BATHROOM SO EVERYTIME SOMEONE HAD TO USE THE RESTROOM THEY COULDNT FULLY CLOSE THE DOOR BECAUSE OF THE CHORD AND THEY HAD TO WALK OVER THE FRIDGE. IT WAS NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL!!!!!

It was okay

It was good we got a room after quit a wait at the front desk. While waiting we over heard how much cheaper the customers room was compared to our ORBITZ price. Really disappointed when explained that orbitz charges more than if we made the reservation ourselves. The walk to the strip is so short.

considerate

I requested a 'pet friendly' place, and found out the following morning after arriving that this one didn't allow pets-however the day manager was very considerate and allowed us to pay a small fee to accomodate my 2 dogs--this was extremely appreciated by me because we had traveled a great distance to make the destination within the time allowed. The room was excellent and all its ammenities were nice. I wiuld be willing to recommend this establishement to family and friends. Reasonable rates, friendly considerate personnel and easy to find.

No Pets PLEASE!

The Desert Rose Inn staff was very friendly and nice when we checked in. When we walked into the lobby there were signs saying that pets were allowed with a $50 deposit. My wife is VERY ALLERGIC TO PETS. After we had been in the hotel room for less than 10 minutes, my wife's pet sensitivies kicked in and we left the hotel to have dinner. We stayed out of the room until 2:30 AM because my wife didn't want to go back both for health reasons and we didn't really feel safe there. My wife had a horrible headache and upset stomach for two days after we left the hotel and it really put a damper on the first vacation we've had in 7 years! There was also no iron, ironing board, breakfast, no restaurant nearby. We were forced to check out after one night and the management was very nice about letting us go without charging us for the second night, but label us very dissastified customers.
