fun!

Check-in was fast and easy. Front desk people were nice. Room was clean and didn't smell like cigarettes. In fact the casino on a whole didn't smell like cigarettes, though there were people smoking at the slots. Towels weren't soft, but they were clean. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling and the light was obnoxiously buzzing and bright. The bathroom had a vinyl floor. The worst part was the styrofoam cups and "disposable" plastic coffee filters. Obviously no regard for the excess garbage in the US or for the environment. The best part of Circus Circus...well, there were 2 parts that totally rocked: The poker room, which was just a sectioned off portion of the casino close to Keno and blackjack tables, was very welcoming. With a minimum bet of only $2 and staff that was very friendly and helpful, I played my first game of Texas Hold 'Em there and am so glad about it. I didn't play a tournament there, but the next time I played Texas Hold 'Em, it was a tournament. The experience at Circus Circus totally made it worth it. The second thing that totally rocked was the midway. It was so fun! And the games were inexpensive to play. Obviously there for the kids, but so fun. There were live acts that performed on stage and above on trapeze. Circus Circus is at the northern end of the tract of casinos in Reno. It's attached to the Silver Legacy and ElDorado. We really enjoyed our stay and would consider it again.

Great deal for the money

Circus Circus appears to be run down and a bit outdated however, the room was every nice and a great deal for the money. Very nice and large mini suite which was perfect for our two year old to have space to play with all the stuffed aminals we won in the midway. This is a great enviroment for kids.

CircusCircus Hotel and Casino

Upon entry the room looked inviting and seemed to have plenty of room. Opening the bathroom door however changed all that. The bathroom had a lot of mold on ceiling and there was what I call NO hot water (less than 5 minutes). I think in the future I would look else where for a room. We were in town to meet other family and thought the CircusCircus might be one of the places we could all enjoy. It turned out not to be so. There was so much pushing and shoving at the time of the preformances we couldn't see anything.

MLK holiday at Reno

Took me 40 minute waiting in line for checking in. I was about the 20th person in line, but only 5 checking staff. Later I saw a much longer line, they must waited much longer. The room is non-smoking, but we can smell the smoke from the AC, which is passed from the AC system. The WIFI is not actually free, there was fee no matter you use or not. Other than these, the stay is pleasant.

Circus Circus in October

We were there due to the serious illness of a relative. He was in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center which is only two blocks from Circus Circus. That made our stay there very convenient. Also, there is a variety of restaurants available within walking distance from the hotel. Essentially, we did nothing but visit the hospital, find a place to eat and then go to bed.

The Unsatisfactory

Over crowded with 10 and less year olds everywhere. Even in the adult areas. Are they paying the bills? My husband was the suerintendent on the Silver Legacy. Maybe you need to pick up a few pointers from them. Being disabled an out of service tram that no one bothered to tell anyone for over 30 minutes was a bit redicules. And that was done with a billboard. The food was old, the service was poor. It took over 45 minutes to get our drinks after ordering dinner and this was at midnight and the restaurant was not very busy. I could go on and on.....

Tram does not always work. Don't get stuck in the tower. It was clean. Eat else where. Out of the casino our plan on paying a ridiculus amount to get decent food at an overpriced restaurant
