Everything was good, but on the weekends the hotel was full of kids running around. Which wasn't a big deal. The food was good, it was also nice that all 3 casino's were connected so you didn't have to go outside.
Circus is a great stay for families/kids ... it's virtually unchanged from 20 years ago when I visited with my young kids. Rooms are clean but nothing special. There's no free breakfast. I don't like paying a "resort fee" even if it is only
about $5. Otherwise, we enjoyed the midway, circus acts, and casino.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
The coupons they give you at check in will win you more in gambling than the resort fee if you use them.
Circus Circus was an average hotel, nothing fancy. I think the room was a little pricey for one night, being that we were not in the room for that long and only stayed one night. Overall, I was satisfied.
I stayed here while skiing at Tahoe. The hotel is a showing some signs of age, but is generally pretty good. The maid service, however, needs to be much more thorough. In the room I found a neon glow stick on top of the TV cabinet (not a
problem), dry dog food under the desk (it was shaped like a tiny dog bone!), and worst of all: a dirty diaper on the top shelf of the closet!
