worst check in

During this last holiday season I ended up having to travel and stay in Reno for a few days. When I went to check in around 4:00 pm the line went from the checkin desk all the way through the casino. I stood in line for over 90 minutes before I got to the desk. No explanation from the hotels staff, there was one cocktail server who came by and brought water to the people in line. I found it coincidental that we were routed by the VIP office and all the people that were going in and out ignored us. The staff that I came in contact with were pleasant and efficient so no complaint there. The room was fine and the bed very comfortable, unfortunately the noise from the room next door was a slight negative. I was talking with one of the hotel staff in the elevator during the stay and asked him how often the checkin was like that, he apologized profusely and said he'd never seen it happen like that before,so maybe this was just a fluke.

from my room

I had a great view of the town and the surrounding valley. I enjoyed that view. In my part of the hotel complex, there was a coffee/ snack bar that was open only part of the day. I had to walk the length of the parking lot (it was a covered walkway) to the casinos to get coffee or food the rest of the day. Parking was adequate. Room comfort was good. I would stay there again.

nice

The only minor problem in the hotel room is that they have no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Otherwise I'll rate it 5 star.

Great fun time away from the everyday activities

Shuttle was there and available when needed to and from the airport. Room was ready and very clean and fresh smelling. This was my new wife's first time to Reno and she was more than pleased with the room and things available within walking distance without leaving the building(s). The midway activities are really worth a look.
