The rooms seem fresh and newly remodeled. The most impressive feature of this facility, however, is the service. From the front desk, to the gym, to the casino floor, restaurants and buffets...everyone is happy and super helpful. I really
appreciate their standards for customer contact. It made me feel like a high-roller and I don't gamble!
It's a casino hotel, so there is a smoke factor. But my non-smoking room did not smell like smoke.
The hotel was fabulous. The only exception was trying to find coffee at 5:00 am. In a 24-hr operation, both coffee vendors were not up and at 'em in time for the airport. Otherwise the staff, facility and comfort were all excellent. Would
recommend this hotel for service, cleanliness, fun and location!
Out visit included visits to Pyramid Lake and a cruise on Lake Tahoe along with a River Walk along Truckee River in Downtonw Reno. Mountains and surrounding attractions in Carson City and Virginia City bring the past to life.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Long walk from hotel
Black Bear Diner - Sweet cream pancakes - must try them. Absolutely delightful, original dish for this western US chain of restaurants.
Accomodations were excellent!! Food at Charlie Toucan's buffet was good, but not on the hot side. Food at Purple Parrot was excellent, good portions, and affordable, with a large variety!! Service from the staff was above par. Cocktail waitresses
were outstanding (service and looks)!! If there is one thing that could be modified is the shuttle times for travel to the Bowling Stadium. Times need to coincide with squad beginning and end times, would provide an excellent service if this happened.
When on a road we stay away from destination hotels because they are not set up for the road traveler. The Atlantis was an exception. The checkin was fast, parking easy and included with the room charge
and the room was first-rate and quiet. Well
rested and well fed made our next day that much nicer.
We stayed at the Atlantis for 4 days, and it was a nice hotel. The hotel location was just a few minute drive from the airport. It was very close to everything. We definitely loved our room. It was clean and we had a nice view of the mountain.
What I didn't like is that they don't haveany restaurant open after midnight. The Registration staff and the customer service staff weren't as friendly as the staff in Vegas. To think Vegas was busier than Reno. Other than that, it wasn't that bad!
