It went well. The buffet was a little ridiculous in that the regular crowd of people was not at all well managed. However, the casino, restaurants and pool were awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. It's a bit of a way to Vegas proper, but it is a relaxing atmosphere and the price is right.

Don't bother with the breakfast buffet past 8:30 AM because the lines are outrageous and not at all managed.

Staycation with no kids
My wife and I did a staycation here in Vegas with no kids that night. It was nice. Much needed before I leave for a trip. Room was very nice and we liked the hotel/casino. However, there was no cafe or a coffee shop. the room was a great price considering how nice and new the hotel was. Over all, a great time.

Clean and contemporary room design - like new
1. The price of $50 a night is very good. However, they charge the "mandatory fee" to use the fitness center, swimming pool and internet. I was there for a business in the North of Las Vegas area. There was not time to use these facilities (left the hotel at 9am and came back around 11pm). They would not waive the $16 "mandatory fee". Thus, $66 per night - still a good value (Monday and Tuesday) for a 4 starts hotel. 2. The QC of the housekeeping is only below average. It was not a big deal. However, it needs attention. There was no pen, and no laundry plastic bag. 3. I was given a smoking room. However, the front desk changed it to a non smoking w/o any issue. Note: I would have given it a 4.5 rating if it wasn't because the above item 1 to 3.

To truly enjoy Vegas, stay off the Strip. This location is close to downtown but less hassle as far as traffic. You have all of te same amenities.

Best Kept Secret in Las Vegas
I normally choose a hotel on or just off the Strip for my husband and myself, but was searching for a hotel that was on our travel route. I came across the Aliente Station. It was (for us) convieniently located and the room rate was very attractive so I decided to break with tradition and give it a try. What a pleasantly surprise! The hotel is beautifully appointed, the use of high quality materials and interesting decor are superior to many of the hotels on the Strip. The guest rooms echo the hotel's well appointed decor and the broad selection of dining choices from elegant to food court suited us perfectly. The movie theatres (16!) are without a doubt the nicest we've experienced in the Las Vegas. We like what the hotel has to offer, and have stayed at the Aliente three times. The only disappointment was the staff at the Reception Desk. A friendly attitude and smile from them would make the experience perfect.

luxury for the price of a single star
Great hotel, luxurious, very confortable. By getting a gambler's card, you get rebates on your meals at the resort. It is a bit far from the strip, but it did not matter to us.

Nice Hotel
Nice hotel, stayed for a Motorcycle event ay LV Speed Way. Great location if you don't plan a lot of back and forth travel to the strip or down town. Had everything for leasure and entertainment at the hotel. If you don't want to be a part of the Strip or Down Town crowds Aliante Station is an excelent choice. Beautiful rooms and casino, nice relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and excelent restaurant choices. Would be a great venue for a weekend concert getaway. Most bang for the buck compared to Strip or Downtown hotels.

Very Nice Accomodations, Discount Price!
Stayed near family for niece's graduation. Ate out twice, otherwise in hotel. Enjoyed Pancake House (x4), Camacho's, TGI Friday's, Feast Buffet, Orange Julius/Dairy Queen (x2) and Rubio's. Did not try Market Surf & Turf, Il Vino's, Johnny Rockets, Villa Pasta, ___Subs or Panda Express. Dropped about $80 in hotel slots over 4 days due to moderate returns. Enjoyed large room, flat panel HDTV, mini-fridge, very large windows with blackout curtains and large soaking tub. Issues preventing safe tub entry for many people: neither inside tub nor floor mat were nonskid no safety grips or bath mat in tub provided tub very tall, squared-edge surround very wide 1 inch vertical glass door track added to hazard. I am 6ft with limited mobility. Children and short adults could also have issues; picture that IF you can lift leg high enough, you still have about an 8' WIDTH with a vertical METAL RAIL to straddle, without a safety grip and no slip protection on EITHER side! Minor problems in room included loose toilet, inoperative bath fan, broken interior and exterior bath tiles, missing fridge cabinet handle, no guide to TV programming and TV a/v interference averaging once a minute and no coffee maker or microwave.
