I was able to easily upgrade from the Carson Valley Motor Inn to the actual main Inn itself for only around $16. The staff was friendly, the food was great at the breakfast buffet, and the room was clean and comfy!

Historical Carson Valley
We had a great time. We went to the Carson Valley to go on Ghost/History walks and learn about the Carson Valley and the people that settled the area. Carson Valley Inn/Casino was right in the middle of our travels, the food was great and the staff very friendly and accomidating. We would go back in a heart beat. Miden/Garderville has something going on throughout the year. This is REAL western history.

Carson Valley Inn has great food. But there are lots of great places to eat. Depending what time of year you go, they have get places to see and great food to eat and great people to meet.

Hotel Motor Lodge
The Motor Lodge is well situated in the northern Nevada community of Minden/Gardnerville and provides easy access to Lake Tahoe and Carson City, NV. The hotel staff was helpful and promptly handled the booking and directions to the motor lodge. The motor lodge is located a short distance from the hotel/casino and provides a very quiet setting with ample parking. The overall appearance of the room was good but some furniture did not appear to be properly maintained or cleaned.

Great value
Everything about our overnight stay was perfect except for the thin wall between our room and the room next door. We could hear their television and conversations. Thankfully we could not hear the shower or toilet. Excellent value and highly recommend it for comfort and price.

Trip to Minden, nv
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. But it was nothing to write home to mom about. My trip was good overall, but some of the other customers were very loud and rude at 11pm, 1am and 5am. They kept me up most of the night.

Family milestone
Attended Granddaughter's graduation Two story unit and very noisy neighbors upstairs - I thought I was staying at the Carson Valley Inn but was at the Motor Lodge instead.They decided to repave the parking lot so no vehicles were allowed on the side of the motel where my room was. I've had worse trips and better but this facility was okay for the few days I stayed there.

REEKED of cigarette smoke
The hotel REEKED with cigarette smoke. The hotel overall was clean, well kept and the staff was friendly. Somehow they managed to keep the smoke from the lobby, the non-smoking wing and one of the restaurants. But the smoke was unavoidable. My non-smoking room was nice and spacious but the bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom was huge with lots of counter space. Restaurant (Katie's) was good for breakfast. But we made the mistake of eating dinner there on Prime Rib night. Our 20 minute wait was 40 minutes just to get a table and the service itself was slow and at times non-existent.

Was given a smoking room instead of nonsmoking as promised. Whwn I went to fix the problem, I was placed on hold for about an hour before I finally gave up. The housekeeping woke me up at 8am. Was lied to about all lower level rooms being booked as seen all were vacant. Rooms were big and clean though.
