Desert Getaway

From time to time I like to getaway to Mesquite. The Virgin River Hotel/Casino is usually my host. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The casino, restaurants, etc. are all you need. While it is a good deal at $32 even without breakfast, I do have one peeve. Their billboards advertise rooms for $26.99 including breakfast. I have never been allowed to book one at that rate. This week I was told that the next date that this rate would be available is November 2012. Virgin River Hotel/Casino's offer seems less than honest.

Perfect when you don't need a lot

I needed an affordable pace to stop along the way. I did not have time for the pool or casino, just a clean, comfortable, quiet place to sleep. This was it. I've used the Virgin River Hotel before and they never let me down.

Leaving Las Vegas

We stayed here on our way home from Vegas after the NASCAR race. The staff was great and the room was comfortable. The floorboards in the hall a bit noisy was all. The buffet was above average in selection and quality. It will be our stop every year instead of fighting the traffic back into Vegas.

NEVER AGAIN

We visit this facility about once a month for gambling and thought we would give the hotel a try being we were going to attend the Nascar race in Las Vegas which was onlym about 68 miles from here. The hotel was not very clean needs alot of work the shower was dirty and while brushing my teeth there was a cockroach coming up trhrough the drain. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

Not too bad

A couple of things I didn't like, the shower head didn't squirt much water and the water wasn't as warm as I would have liked. No shampoo, or hand lotion, or ironing board in the room. The room is dark unless you leave the curtains open for all to see in the room. The room was clean though and served it's purpose.
