Nice beach on Colorado river

I loved the Beach and boat access the pool was nice too, but the rooms and restaurants could use some work. The Italian restaurant was good but the rest where kind of run down, rooms where older but the price made up for everything. Also liked the Firework store in the parking lot!

Nice Family Getaway

Our Stay at the Avi Resort was very nice. We were two adults and two kids and we all managed to have a good time. The room was very nice and clean, but the beds were very very hard. The beach was a good area for the kids to play, but for my mother, there was no where to sit, other than on a towel. The pool area was very pretty but the pool water was ICE cold. We spent our time in the hottub with the kids (despite a sign saying no one under 12 allowed). The Kid Quest was a really nice place to take the kids to for a few hours, but the bill sure added up quickly at $6/hr per kid.

Great Location, But!!!

Everything was perfect except in the middle of the night when neighbors used their restroom. It was sooo loud it seemed as if someone was using my restroom.

Great location away from the busy downtown Laughlin

Was a bit concerned after reading a few negative comments after booking but was pleasantly surprised. While the location is a few miles south of Laughlin it is much more relaxed, fewer people and less traffic. Great location for exploring Bullhead City and Oatman. The hotel has the feel of being newer than many in Laughlin and the buffet is top notch. Good food in Feathers restaurant with very good prices and a few quickie food places for the less hungry. A theater on site is a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Buffet is great and affordable with a 2 for 1 on Thursday and if a sit down meal is preferred then Feathers restaurant is the most economical, with good food.

A great vacation destination

We stayed at Avi for a week and did day trips. Grand Canyon was about 3 1/2 hours away so we stayed overnight in Flagstaff for this one and also saw Sunset Crater (volcano). We intended to also see Meteor Crater east of Flagstaff but left early because of snow and road conditions. We spent some time on Route 66 and especially enjoyed Oatman, Az. Grapevine Canyon with the petroglyphs was very interresting and a good chance to do some hiking and climbing. We also went down to Needles, Ca and learned the hard way that gas is lots more expensive in Cal!!! The Avi resort is out of the way (about 20 minutes from the rest of the Laughlin hotels) but close to Ft Mohave on the Az side of the river via a bridge nearby. Outdoor recreation facilities looked very nice and would be fun in season (we went in Feb.) The food in the resort restaurants was good and reasonably priced and the facilities clean.

Joe's Crab Shack in Laughlin resort district is a fun place to eat seafood (crab served by the bucket!!) although a bit pricey.
