Wynn Las Vegas was opened in 2005 by Steve Wynn, a major player in the Las Vegas hotel industry, having previously owned the Bellagio, Mirage, and Treasure Island. Today, fountains burst from gold lilies outside, while the bronze crescent of the hotel glimmers from the swimming pools and waterside bar lights below. Nightclubs are renowned throughout the Strip, while corridors decked with hot-house flowers and glowing Oriental-style vases lead to out-of-this-world glass-roofed spa rooms. The Wynn Hotel even takes its specialty dining seriously, with extensive vegan options and eateries decked out with everything from Chinese dragons (Wing Lei) to life-size Frank Sinatra prints (Sinatra).

Wynn Las Vegas is nestled between two classic Strip institutions-the mid-twentieth century Riviera and the 90s' Treasure Island, offering guests instant perspective on how the city has evolved from vintage casinos through to themed hotels. For travelers who love to shop, the Wynn faces the nearly overwhelming Fashion Show Mall, and the hotel is also one of the closest to the Commercial Center-a hidden gem long frequented by leading Vegas entertainers of the past, including Elvis and the Rat Pack.

A Wonderful Experience

I went to Las Vegas to enjoy some personal down-time, and was thrilled with the two days I spent at the Wynn. The room was lovely, elegant and restful, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The employees of the Wynn organization seem very happy. Many I spoke to, including the woman sitting next to me during my flight to Vegas, have worked at the Wynn since the it opened. The resort is entirely self-contained with excellent amenities and entertainment right at your fingertips. There's no need to gander up-and-down the strip, which is exactly the experience I wanted. It's kind of like, "Club Med meets Camp Vegas," but with a sophisticated twist. I felt like a celebrity during my stay.

As a vegan, travel can be difficult; but the Wynn restaurants are totally accommodating. I ate all of my meals in the hotel, and they were superb.

Clean and Polished as usual!

Love the bed! Love the buffet! Great sports book, but don't like how they didn't offer bowl game parlay cards like other less expensive hotels. The staff was superb and constantly asked me how things were, etc.......This hotel is at the north end of the strip, across the street from the "mega mall" in town. It is less crowded and cleaner on the streets. The established hotels between the Wynn and Mandalay Bay are all declining quickly in quality, with the exception of a few new places, but most of them have lost the luster and class they once had...such as: dirty entrances, bad air, smelly gaming areas. Steve Wynn is the only one who understands defined quality and attention to detail....the rest are gimmicky and do not have near the ambiance.

Breakfast is the best bargain at the Wynn Hotel buffet. Exceptional quality of all food ingredients. Get there before 10:00 am to take advantage of all the features. The restaurants are ok, but over priced....the Sinatra has some nice plates

Vegas Stopover on Crosscountry Roadtrip

Large, clean and comfortable rooms with most things operated at the touch of a button. Super guest-friendly. North Strip location takes you a little farther away from the heart of the Vegas action, but the accomodations more than offset that.
