Wynn Las Vegas was opened in 2005 by Steve Wynn, a major player in the Las Vegas hotel industry, having previously owned the Bellagio, Mirage, and Treasure Island. Today, fountains burst from gold lilies outside, while the bronze crescent of the hotel glimmers from the swimming pools and waterside bar lights below. Nightclubs like the Wynn Social, with its writhing blue snake behind the bar, and the day-to-night glamor of the tiered Encore Beach Club (at sister hotel Encore) are renowned throughout the Strip, while corridors decked with hot-house flowers and glowing Oriental-style vases lead to out-of-this-world glass-roofed spa rooms. The Wynn Hotel even takes its specialty dining seriously, with extensive vegan options and eateries decked out with everything from Chinese dragons (Wing Lei) to life-size Frank Sinatra prints (Sinatra).

Neighborhood

Wynn Las Vegas is nestled between two classic Strip institutions-the mid-twentieth century Riviera and the 90s' Treasure Island, offering guests instant perspective on how the city has evolved from vintage casinos through to themed hotels. For travelers who love to shop, the Wynn faces the nearly overwhelming Fashion Show Mall, and the hotel is also one of the closest to the Commercial Center-a hidden gem long frequented by leading Vegas entertainers of the past, including Elvis and the Rat Pack.

One of my Vegas FAVORITES!

First time at the Wynn (normally stay at Palazzo or Venetian) and it definitely exceeded my expectations. We were upgraded upon check-in (36th floor panoramic strip view). The room was very clean and very well decorated. The staff were very attentive and polite. The pool was also a favorite! Will definitely stay at the Wynn in the future.

Luxury and great service!

Check in was a breeze. We received $50 resort credit booking through Ortz and we put it towards our brunch buffet. Room had amazing views and everything was clean. One con were the walls. They are paper thin so you can hear guests next to us. We did self parking which was free. There are fees FYI. $25 a day for internet, gym, etc. Brunch was decent and you're better off at Bellagio or Wicked Spoon at Cosmo for fancier food. You must see their show, La Reve. It was spectacular.

Just Superb

What a gorgeous and clean property. My standard room was plush but comfortable. Loved the soaking tub. Accessibility to Palazzo and Fashion Mall was excellent. The Wynn and Encore are gorgeous and were maintained spotlessly. The service was excellent and the main pool area was beautiful. i usually stay at the Bellagio and aside from the location I think the Wynn surpasses the Beautiful Bellagio. The fresh flowers and the displays were incredible and the decor while over the top in some ways was gorgeous. This is not the gamble special/tour bus type of hotel - so the casino was quieter and not as mobbed - which is nice; however it did seem tighter on machines than other casinos. Additionally the pervasive cigarette smoke was a drawback but this is neither unique to the Wynn or solveable without a smoking ban - whihc is not going to happen.

The best luxury hotel in Vegas

The Wynn remains at the top of Vegas hotels: A fairy tale-like interior, filled with grandeur and beauty; amazing (if pricey) restaurants; incredible pool complexes; wonderful amenities (spa and gym); and an overall feeling of luxury. This isn't the seedy side of Vegas, but rather a luxury resort with as much or as little naughtiness as you want thrown in. Highly recommended.

Red 8 -- the "cheaper" Chinese restaurant in the Wynn -- might just have better food than Wing Lei (the "best" Chinese food in Vegas). It's easier to get into without a reservation, too.

Las Vegas at it's finest!

The Wynn sits at the end of the stip. At the really nice end! This was the first time at Wynn. It's beautiful. And not a bit lacking in style and sophistication. The restaurants are fantastic. Expensive but all really great. The Country Club was great. Really nice setting. The Buffett is the best in Vegas. Very "high end." Lake side restaurant was a bit disapointing. Only because it came so highly recommended. It sits on the Lake of Dreams which is a beautiful waterfall that turns into a Vegas'sy Light and crazy show after nightfall, On the half hour. I like staying at diffrent place's in Vegas. But I would go back to Wynn.
