Las Vegas has many themed casinos, but the Venetian Resort Hotel succeeds in transporting visitors to fanciful recreations of the Italian canals in Venice. Whether you are taking a ride on a gondola, enjoying live statues in Saint Mark's Square or pressing your luck in the glittering casino, time flies through opulent surroundings. Cool off from the desert heat by plopping into one of six pools before taking in one or two of the Venetian's long-featured star attractions, like comedienne Rita Rudner or the feel-good musical Rock of Ages. Health-conscious guests can schedule an appointment with one of the physical therapists, nutritionists or acupuncturists in the Canyon Ranch SpaClub.
Key facts
  • 4,027 guestrooms

Neighborhood
The Venetian Resort's post-modern playground has replaced the old Sands Hotel, and it stands between Harrah's and The Palazzo on the Las Vegas Strip. The Fashion Show mall, which includes Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, is also within walking distance. Golfers need only cross Sands Avenue to reach the impressive Wynn Golf Club, which business guests will also find handy to escape to after a session at the nearby Las Vegas Convention Center.
Hints and tips
When you've finished an early dip in the pool, towel off and head over for a gourmet pancake breakfast at Wolfgang Puck's casual restaurant Riva -exclusive to guests of the hotel. During the day, while passing through Saint Mark's Square near the Grand Canal Shoppes, guests arriving at the top of the hour will get to witness regular opera and theater performances, with costumes inspired by Italian masquerade.

Venetion and Canyon Ranch Spa

I was there for a wine dinner at Bouchon. My room was fab, the $25 resort fee was obnoxious because the staff still expects tips (but everyone charges one nowadays, so what you gonna do). The gym was very well equiped. Almost felt weird because so empty with gear for 100+ people. The food was good at Bouchon, but service was terrible.

Fabulous place to stay

The Venetian Hotel is an incredible hotel. It has everything you can ask for. A shopping mall, the romantic gondola ride, great restaurants - especially Delmonico's, impressive entrance, it's right in the heart of the strip, etc. I can't say enough about this hotel except that I plan to go back there again soon.

great service...not so great beds

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and there is a lot going on. Everything was great, but for the money I would have liked a much more comfortable bed

large hotel easy to manage

the venetian is a well though out Las Vegas hotel. It felt more like a resort then a gambling casino. the rooms were beautiful, and very clean. the bed was soft and easilly fell asleep. the best part about the hotel was that though it is the largest hotel on the strip, you do not have to walk for miles to get from your room to any location. The connection to the new Palazzo section was easy to access

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

You do not have to leave the Venetian or the Palazzo to shop till u drop. My wife found the perfect dress for a wedding, a beautiful handbag and a sports outfit.

Great atmosphere

The Venetian was a very nice hotel. It didn't feel like your typical hotel room. The room I stayed in had a king bed, then down a few stairs was a sitting area. The atmosphere there was so peaceful, and the hotel personel were very friendly. The Venetian is centrally located on the strip and is the best hotel I've stayed in recently. Just remember to bring a hairdryer and don't forget to check out the shows there!

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

In the Venetian, there's shopping, food, and entertainment. The shops there are a little pricey, but fun to look in. There's gondala boats that you (and the kids) could go for a ride in, dining, and a few shows. We saw the Blue Man Group, but there's also the Phantom of the Opera that I wish we would have had time to see.

One Stop Entertainment

The Venitian was a one stop entertainment for me. I drove up late one night and left two days later never leaving the facility. The food and shops complimented a very beneficiaal business trip. The room was fantastic. Now I must return with my wife. This will be my Las Vegas destination of the future.

Excellent Stay

The Venetian was very satisfying and relaxing. It has everything that we needed and was in the center of the strip. The staff were always doing what was expected and then more to make our staff very comforting. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away from a daily routined lifestyle or even just to relax a little.

Venetian Resort, Las Vegas

This was probably the most wonderful stay in a hotel in my life and I am a travel agent. We felt like staying in one of those Bavarian castles from King Ludwig II. If anybody wants to visit Venice and can't afford it - go there you'll even forget that you are indoors when dining next to the Canale Grande!! We will return for sure!!!
