From Gondolas to gourmands, a city of remarkable delights

With all-suite accommodations, an array of entertainment, and incredible dining and diversion, Venetian Las Vegas is a worthy destination all its own, even with the Strip just beyond the doors. A faithful homage to Europe's crown jewel that includes a quarter-mile Grand Canal complete with gondoliers, The Venetian is also far more than a theme resort. The list includes TAO Beach and Nightclub, Canyon Ranch SpaClub, Grand Canal Shoppes and Madame Tussauds. The Venetian also shares amenities and dining with the connected Palazzo resort.

Highlights
  • The Venetian Las Vegas will come alive with the fantasy, food, fun and romance of Italy during Carnevale.  This is a three-month celebration of Italy's summer festival from 27 May to 08 September 2013. Based on the highly successful premier in 2012, the festival will be expanded with new events and special new experiences exclusively for the guests.
  • Gondola rides both inside and out on the quarter-mile Grand Canal replica
  • The exclusive TAO Beach and Nightclub
  • Star chef dining options from the likes of Mario Batali, Thomas Keller, Wolfgang Puck and more
  • Gorgeous, private club-like poker room
Rooms

Redecorated, unique split-level Venetian Luxury suites start at 650 square feet with king size, pillow top beds and two 32" plasma screens, a full living area, mini-bar and motorized curtains over floor-to-ceiling windows. In true Venetian style, the luxury continues in large bathrooms featuring twin sinks, a separate tub and shower and Agraria bath products. Some Venetian suites include sofa sleepers. Several larger suites are available. Wi-Fi Internet access is included in the resort fee.

Features

Surrounded by replicas of the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Campanile Tower, and St. Mark's Square, guests can't escape the romance of Venice at Venetian, nor do they want to. Where else can you get married on an exquisitely handcrafted wedding gondola? Along the Grand Canal, enjoy a serenade from a gondolier, catch the "streetmosphere" performers or shop the more than 80 international boutiques.

More entertainment at Venetian Las Vegas includes the Broadway smash musical Rock of Ages and Australia's critically acclaimed quartet, Human Nature. The Venetian's 134,000-square-foot Ranch Spa – one of the biggest on the Strip – moves beyond the norm with an impressive fitness center, rock climbing wall and cafe. Prepare for more grand scale amenities at Venetian's 5-acre, year-round pool deck featuring three pools, a hot tub, plenty of chaises, and cocktail and food service (cabanas for a fee). Gaming at the opulent casino does not disappoint with handheld gaming devices, a refined poker room and large race and sports book lounge. Guests can also catch shows of Rita Rudner.

The Venetian Theatre welcomes country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Join the artists at their Soul2Soul shows in the intimate setting of The Venetian Theatre (formally The Phantom Theatre). Tickets go on sale Monday, August 13th, show dates range from December 2012 to April 2013.

Dining

The Venetian's solid list of dining options leads with Thomas Keller's Bouchon, Mario Batali's B&B Ristorante, Wolfgang Puck's Postrio, Tom Maloney's Aquaknox, Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse and Piero Selvaggio's Valentino, as well as many Asian options. For breakfast or weekend brunch, don't miss the Grand Luxe Cafe. Guests also find an above-average food court with eateries like Nathan's, Johnny Rockets and Canonita Express.

Great getaway

The hotel is in a great location. The layout is somewhat confusing, but staff is very helpful. Our junior suite was very comfortable. They said we would have to upgrade to get a better view - our view overlooked rooftops of another building. We didn't want to spend the extra money. They need more chairs at the pools - one day we had an employee help us find chairs and had to go to one of the pools at the adjoining hotel. They found us two chairs and we ended up facing a wall to be in the sun. Overall, we had a nice 3-day getaway.

Friend's 25th Golden B-day Celebration

I am writing this review after arriving home just yesterday so everything is still fresh on my mind. My whole Vegas trip overall was awesome! Our hotel made it that much more awesome. The check in was fast, we actually arrived a couple hours before official check in time but miraculously they had our room ready. We were off to a great start! The room itself was big, in total it was 3 girls staying in that room and we had more than enough room. The only thing that I was surprised by was the view, which we didn't have but then again we didn't pay for it since we bought as a package. If you want a view of the strip then upgrade the room (it is one of the options when purchasing online once you are ready to book or you can upgrade in the actual hotel). That didn't really bother us too much since we figured we were not going to spend much time there and we were right. The beds were comfy and the sheets were clean, very important to me. The bathroom was huge and clean. The hotel itself is located on the strip and very close to a lot of things so you can walk to a lot of things. If you prefer to avoid walking, all hotels have an abundant amount of taxis in front of their lobbies (just FYI, the cabs can only pick you up and drop you off at hotel lobbies on the strip). As far as hotel esthetics, it is gorgeous with a small water canal imitating Venice with gondolas floating by inside and outside the hotel. The design and decorations are extravagant and beautiful. I really did feel like I was transported to a little bit of Italy. There are arches and the ceilings have paintings on them like what was popular in the Baroque time. The hotel itself is home to Tao, a nightclub we visited that was fun and also Madame Tussaud's wax exhibit is in the Venetian. As far as dinner options, there are tons of restaurants in the hotel, especially close to the piazza. Now the important stuff, the pools. They were beautiful! There is a pool area on the 10th floor and it has more of a zen garden vibe, with a couple of pools and hot tubs hidden within the garden, and fountains. It is a place to just relax. The other pools are on the 4th floor, and those are the more popular pools with music playing, and more people. They are both good experiences and beautiful pools it just depends on what mood you are in. Tao Beach is also located on the 4th floor, our group checked it out and it was fun. Definitely geared for young people, there is a small pool in the area, big enough for people to get in but the aim is for interaction with others so the small space really ensures that. Also, they have beach balls that get thrown around, and yes people throw them at you to interact and play but they are soft and do not hurt unless they are angrily spiking them at you, lol! Just know, that at Tao Beach there is literally almost nowhere to sit unless you rent a cabana, or just a couple of beach chairs. We had a small group so we ended up getting the beach chairs, the only pre-requisite for the beach chairs was to spend $400 on food and drinks while there. We easily did that and when split up in our group we each paid $60. That included pitchers of mojitos, pina coladas, and food. It was standard Vegas prices. Check out time for the rooms is at 11 a.m, it was quick and painless! Overall, we enjoyed are trip!

Nightlife tip: Not Applicable

We were there to celebrate a friend's 25th birthday so we were interested in a couple of clubs. You do not need to buy any club packages because promoters will literally walk up to you offering you free admissions to clubs etc. So don't spend money on those "packages" unless of course you want to. One of the best clubs we visited was Tryst, we didn't end up getting a table because it was cheaper to just individually buy drinks but it was so much fun. It might also have been that we were all in a mood to celebrate my friends bday but I had a blast! ***One of the first things you should do is go to a Walgreens and buy bottled water and store it in your room. Otherwise, you will be spending 3-4 bucks on each bottle of water you buy outside.

Not a good experience. The staff were not helpful and we found out later that they lied on many occupations. For this price you can get a better hotel.

Great Hotel

Only annoying thing with our rather large suite was the lack of a fridge. They do provide a fully supplied fridge, but its on a scale and nothing can be touched unless you want to pay for whatever has been used/moved . Otherwise it was a great weekend.
