Though owned by big name MGM Resorts International, the Vdara Hotel and Spa promises a unique approach to Las Vegas in the midst of The Strip. With a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, along with expansive, eco-friendly suites, there's an emphasis on holistic relaxation rather than gaming tables. Let the resident bartenders serve you up a cocktail at Bar Vdara while you indulge your inner child on the outdoor swings or visit the ESPA professionals for a personalized facial. Guests can simply choose to spend their days lounging at a rooftop cabana near plunge pools and the magnificent Vegas horizon, or putting across the greens at the exclusive Shadow Creek Golf Course.  Picking up a few gourmet wines and cheeses at Market Cafe Vdara before leaving ensures luggage full of enviable souvenirs.

Fantastic Romance Getway

Vdara is a very elegant place to stay. It's quite and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and courteous. It's right next door to the Aria Casino which was very nice.

Vdara - CityCenter - Las Vegas, NV

Vdara was brand new at the time I stayed there. It was very clean and had a great view of the Rio/Palms and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Vdara does not have a casino, so it is much quieter than most other Las Vegas hotels. The staff was very friendly, but the hotel does not have rooms with 2 beds. I went with 1 friend for a weekend of concerts, but we were limited to a king bed and a queen sofa bed. The sofa bed was not very comfortable, but the bed was great. Also we asked for sheets and pillows for the sofa but never got any. I would recommend Vdara to anyone traveling alone or as a couple, but not as a group of friends due to the sleeping arrangements.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Due to its positioning in CityCenter, taking a cab from Vdara to anywhere on the strip requires going out on the highway to double back onto the strip... At least so the cab drivers would have you believe. There is a bridge between Vdara and Bellagio, and taking this to the Bellagio main entrance to pick up a cab will save quite a bit of money as Bellagio is in a much better position on the strip.

VDARA Great Hotel

The location of the Hotel is the best in Las Vegas. Everything you want to do is very near the VDARA. There is no casino in the lobby, so it is a very calm and private Hotel, great to go with your loved one for a romantic vacation. The casino is at the Aria just a few steps in front of the Vdara Lobby. To the left is the Bellagio, with a big casino a very good dining. So the Vdara is in essence a place for sleeping. It also has a good gym and pool.

Lovely Room but...

Beautiful room, gorgeous view, special features but the pool area is much too small for the size of the hotel and has absolutely no visual appeal at all. Be prepared there is only a small bar in this hotel as well as a market cafe. Nothing else. Consequently, there is little going on in the lobby so the bar stayed empty during the duration of our stay. Additionally, we were told we could request a coffee maker be sent to our room only to then be told, "Ooops, all out." Traveled with friends who were charged $500.00 without their knowledge, as a deposit, in case of damage to their room. They were refunded the deposit but it would be nice to be informed of this detail. Overall, unless you're really looking for absolute quiet, look at the Aria just across the circle from Vdara where there are coffee shops, bakeries, gelato shops, restaurants,...

Pretty good

Power went out the last night I was there and the emergency lights did not work. At check out I was told the entire hotel stay would be complimentary due to the power outage..my credit card was charged the full amount anyway.

The good and bad of Vdara

My stay at the Vdara was good. The room was great, and the service at the hotel was very good. As well, the location is awesome!!! The hotel is located in the City Center, which is practically the center of the strip, so all hotels on the strip are within walking distance (if you enjoy long walks). However, there were no restaurants or casino in the hotel. I mays well have stayed at the Bellagio or Aria considering how often I was there in comparison to the Vdara. If you are looking for a quiet trip in Vegas then I recommend this hotel to you. If you were looking for a fun atmosphere like myself, Vdara is probably not the best hotel to choose.

Great time in Vegas

The hotel was excellent. The front desk associate was friendly and really personable. It was really boutique like and didn't have all the hoopla going on that a lot of other area hotels had. No smoking and no gambling. Not too small, not too large. The room was great. Comfortable bed and I loved the bathroom. We were easily accessible to some friends that were staying right beside us at the ARIA. We were right on the strip. Close to malls, casinos, and great restaurants.

Very nice. Clean and quiet. No smoking and no casino which makes it relaxing. Yet, close enough to great attractions to walk everywhere. The was a billing problem, but anticpate correction on that.

expected better

Stayed at many high end hotels on the strip. I did not feel Vdara was up to the same high standards. The rooms themselves were very nice but the customer service was average at best. I felt I was bothering some of the Front desk staff with any questions I had. Their was only one Front Desk employee who was very kind and helpful. When at the pool each day I did not have a single waitress ask me if I needed anything, I walked to get what on needed myself. I feel the worst part of the entire experience was the pool itself. the horrible reflection of the sun on the building made it impossible to even enjoy. Thank goodness for the umbrellas but I did not come to Las Vegas to be in the shade the entire time. The pool area was small without any ambience to speak of. Very disappointing
