Though owned by big name MGM Resorts International, the Vdara Hotel and Spa promises a unique approach to Las Vegas in the midst of The Strip. With a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, along with expansive, eco-friendly suites, there's an emphasis on holistic relaxation rather than gaming tables. Let the resident bartenders serve you up a cocktail at Bar Vdara while you indulge your inner child on the outdoor swings or visit the ESPA professionals for a personalized facial. Guests can simply choose to spend their days lounging at a rooftop cabana near plunge pools and the magnificent Vegas horizon, or putting across the greens at the exclusive Shadow Creek Golf Course.  Picking up a few gourmet wines and cheeses at Market Cafe Vdara before leaving ensures luggage full of enviable souvenirs.

Wandering through the complex treats visitors to Henry Moore and Maya Lin sculptures in the on-site Aria Fine Art Collection, and venturing out onto The Strip brings the 'canals' of the Venetian to the north, as well as the gleaming Luxor pyramid to the south.
Hints and tips
If you want the royal treatment, stay at one of Vdara's Stylish Suites. You'll receive complimentary limousine service to and from McCarran International Airport (LAS), a dedicated concierge phone line, and a special spa facilities pass. Room cleaning

Room was cleaned one night we were there. They came around four everyday while we were trying to get ready for dinner and didn't come back while we were out. At least they could clean ours every other day before noon while we were out of the room. Very frustrating.

Vdara - slight disapointment

Fabulous apartment style room, plenty of space , top views ( when paying extra } comfy big bed nice furniture. Lovely hotel foyer with good staff , but here is the BUT.... just don't get the idea of the kitchenette part of the room, which we were looking forward to using for breakfast etc., no kettle, ( we were given a saucepan to boil! ) no plates/cups/cutlery/bowls wash up facilty. It has a beautiful sink with microwave and hotplate but it is just for show I think! we were not trying to self cater merely get a coffee now and again or a bit of brekie, c'mon Vdara kit them out!!

Don't bother with the monorail, unless just hopping to your neighbouring hotel, by the time you have walked to the station you could have caught the deuce bus.. cheaper and goes further

Above average hotel

Nice hotel, reasonably quiet and clean. Exceedingly difficult to find entrance to the hotel from Las Vegas Blvd. By all means means, if at all possible, take a cab to the hotel rather than trying to drive there yourself. The concierge service there is excellent and can often get you discounted tickets to shows

Nice building but amenities need help

Vdara suite looked pleasant with top notch applicances. But we paid for 3 guests and had to order linens for sofa-bed twice before finally delivered late at night. Did they expect 3 of us in a king bed? Absolutely no utensils or even coffee cups. Body wash bottle empty in shower. And the sofa bed was missing springs, cross wire, and was lumpy. Numerous carpet stains. Fairly long walk to strip. Not close to a 4 or 5 star in my judgment.

Top of the line hotel!

We live close to Vegas and go there yearly, so we have stayed in a number of hotels. We stayed in one of the corner suites overlooking the Bellagio fountains. It was a breath taking view and we didn't feel a whole lot of motivation to leave the room, it was so nice. The staff fixed up the hide-a-bed upon request, which our two little boys loved. And not having a smokey casino to walk through was great! The pool is heated and we had a great time swimming on Thanksgiving. My only gripe is the mandatory valet parking.....I would rather park my own vehicle and have access to it whenever I want. During the rush times, expect to wait for at least 10-15 minutes for your car to be retrieved. Other than that, it was a really fabulous hotel!!
