Hotel okay, food not so much
The hotel is a good value, but eat somewhere else because two of the three people I was here with wound up in the hospital for two nights with food poisoning from eating at one of the hotel restaurants. What was supposed to be a great time together turned into a real nightmare.

Traveling From Tucson To Reno
While travelling from Tucson to Reno, my wife and I decided to spend two nights in Las Vegas to see the sights and the "glitter." I choose the Tuscany mainly because the price was right and their ad said it was near the famous Las Vegas strip. What a surprise! The Tuscany is located just a short 5-minute walk from the rear of Ballys and the monorail station. Walk through Ballys and you're on the strip. The Tuscany is right on Flamingo and is very easy to drive to from either I-15 or I-515 and they have plenty of free surface parking. The Tuscany rooms were spacious and very clean. The check-in process was simple with no lines. The three restaurants we used were very good with daily specials being served. Would we stay in the Tuscany again? We did, on our way back from Reno! This place is A++.

A casino hotel away from the strip
I find the hotel to be on a very convenient location, away from the strip, heavy traffic but yet close enough if one decides to head to the strip for the night life, and partying! The hotel is close to the convention center and airport for business people. The room was very spacious with many signs of remodeling work in the bathroom (except the faucet to the sink - it looks out of place!)

Great low key casino
Hotel is very clean and low key. A bit off the strip but accessible by public transportation or a small walk. Pool area is nice and clean. Restaurants are a good value. Go to Marilyn's Cafe for Breakfast special from 6am to 11am Steak, eggs, hash browns and pancakes for only $6.99. Great deal!!! Watch out for the resort fees of $15 additional. And the $15 for WiFi in your room if you want that.

Vegas on the cheap
I had a reunion with some shipmates. I chose this place as this is where most everyone was staying. I had a king room. The room was very spacious, there was a comfortable couch and chair. Also a dining table and kitchenette. Bathroom was clean with a small shower and separate tub, and new towels everyday. That was the good. Now for the bad the hotel was several three story buildings spread out over about a two to three city block size area. The cab rides were $6 to $15 per and not always available, although the staff would gladly call one for you. TV in my room needed to be updated but the TV in the hospitality room was a new flat panel. The 24hr cafe food was o.k. but nothing to right home about (the breakfast special was a good deal 2eggs,steak and 2 pancakes for 6.99). The hotel's casino was a little lacking two 21 tables and a craps table open Thurs. and Fri. and on Sat. they opened more. They advertise several $2 and $3 tables and there was only one $3 table. Overall it was a nice stay but for the price I would stay on the strip next time.

I found out several buffets have a 24hr deal. For $45 you have 24hrs to eat at any of the buffets listed on wristband. Also for shows there are kiosk up and down strip where you can get 25 to 50% off show prices.

Hidden Fees
No where in the literature from Cheap Tickets was there a mention of the $15 a day resort fee which was presented to me upon arrival. I think this is a case for the better business bureau.
