Easy spirit and good value define this friendly hotel

Talk about a rarity: Imagine an all-suites casino hotel with the feel of a relaxed family resort. The pleasant, 27-acre Tuscany Suites and Casino just off the Las Vegas Strip offers peace and quiet amid the Sin City clamor. With a compact, grassy campus of three-floor buildings surrounding fountains, a meandering heated pool and two jacuzzis, the Tuscany also has a modest casino with a sports book and poker room. Families will like the fact that gaming is separate from the lobby and restaurants.

Highlights

  • Spacious all-suite rooms great for extended stays and families
  • Fun heated pool deck with two jacuzzi tubs
  • Low limit casino loved by locals
  • Just one and a half blocks from the Las Vegas Strip

Nice but not extraordinary

The Tuscany is clean, well maintained and just slightly off the Vegas Strip making cab rides reasonable. It offers several restaraunts, a gift shop (expensive) a coffee cafe and a nice bar with live music. There are two pools. The main one with shade and sun and a lap pool and spa behind the fittness center. The downside; the coffee maker in the room is a single cup, nearly instant coffee quality. There is no room service, you have a refigerator but no microwave. They charge $10 per day per device for wi-fi after one device uses it for 24 hours. Keep your devices on airplane mode!

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

At Harrahs you will find Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar and Grill". Resonably priced food (for the Strip) and live entertainment nightly. Watch out for the drinks. They automatically serve you a 32 oz for $19 unless told otherwise.

Will prefer to stay at Tuscany again

There was 4 of us in a two double room, with small refrigerator and no additional cost microwave. Calls to confirm and with counter personnel was quite helpful and courteous. Room was clean with plenty of bedding and towels.. TV is large enough to see it from the spacious room. There was no presence of smoke, pet smell or humidity. The room's independent air conditioner was quite adequate even with over 100 degree days. The 24/7 cafeteria had nice daily specials. Campus was clean with real grass. Buildings are three story vs skyscrapers nicely laid out to appreciate the landscaping. Gym was unexpected gem - but without a TV. It had several machines and dead weights with an "attached" dual lane lap pool and spa. The family pool is attractive, large and not a "box" pool. Casino was separate enough to not be an annoyance. Could have used a bunk bed addition but didn't have for dual double rooms. Wifi was good, we simultaneously used two laptops in the room with good speed. Best part was no hidden charges - just what was originally advertised. Tuscany is a very good value as a suite with refrig and microwave. Time of access to the gym and pools need to start earlier and be extended past 10 PM since you won't get back from the strip till about 10 PM or later. Should go to at least 12 PM. Location was good - probably best as not on the main strip - depends on what you're interested in. Didn't gamble but the usual is in the casino. We drove in and had no issue or additional cost for parking. Convenient location to convention / conference locations. I marked the amenities down only since they don't have a headliner on site. May not want to see theirs anyhow if they had one.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Needless to say you need to drive, take a taxi to the shows since they are scattered. Need to plan double time for getting anywhere at night due to the mass of traffic and humanity.

Perfect place to stay, quiet, close to strip.

The hotel was nice and comfy, not to big but not to small either, had good places to eat. The pool was excellent, but could use more chairs and tables. Housekeeping needs to restock the soap, shampoo, etc. after they clean the room, we had to go ask for it. Overall it was a nice place to stay, and would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

So so

The hotel was over priced, it was off the strip a ways and when staing with large groups it is not the ideal layout. To many building spread out. Restaraunts I. The cacino were not impressive ether.

Top Notch Room

The positives for this hotel: The hotel and room are beautiful! Clean and updated. Convenient location. The negatives for this hotel: Walk in to this beautiful hotel and smell smoke. This is not good for those who are sensitive to the smell of smoke and with asthma. There is no free breakfast. This hotel is set up for mostly grown people - not families with children. They are focused on the "party" crowd and those gambling.

Good place to stay !!

Location is fine. Not exactly on the strip but just 2 blocks away. Facilities were good. You won't get the comfort of Cosmopolitan or Ceaser palace but very good value for money.
