With a compact, grassy campus of three-floor buildings surrounding fountains, a meandering heated pool and two jacuzzis, the Tuscany also has a modest casino with a sports book and poker room. Families will like the fact that gaming is separate from the lobby and restaurants.

so disappointed

We stayed a single night on 11/13. We got, at the time, a great deal on the room. Check in was quick and easy, ample, well lit parking, building (D) smelled of clean laundry soap (and not in a bad way). Hallways were clean and brightly lit. Rooms are very spacious, small kitchenette area with small fridge and table. Couch, chair and coffee table in addition to the 2 queen beds and large bathroom. All appeared clean. No strange odors in the room (always a plus). Walkways to casino could be better lit. Dinner & drinks at Cantina were tasty and fast. Casino was even a little generous. Beds were comfy and we rested well. The problem, however, started during my shower the next morning when I was joined by an unexpected guest of the insect variety. Imagine my shock when I look down and see what I believe was a cockroach crawling on my leg. I screamed, brushed it off, tossed the washcloth over it and exited the shower. I called the front desk about it and was given a rather snotty, condescending lecture about it 'probably' being an 'indigenous to the desert water bug' (?). She then asked if I would like someone to come up and 'spray' the bug. I answered that I wanted someone to come and remove it. Approximately 5 minutes later housekeeping showed up and lifted up the washcloth and the bug, put both in the bathmat and gathered it all up, then looked under the counters and on the floor, I presume for more. I asked her what it was, and she replied "in Spanish es 'cucaracha' ", and I think we all know what that means. She left the room and we hurried and finished dressing and packing up. We threw out an entire bag of food, because there were open packages left out overnight. I chcked out using the option on the TV, having only the resort fee that needed to be paid. I went to the front desk (after slipping on the standing water and the sprinkler overspray on the walkways) to retrieve my receipt and speak to a manager. I was told by the unfriendly hotel customer service manager Zerina, after showing her the photo of the bug, that an " investigation" would have to be initiated with security. This was just after 11am. She called security to come to the front desk and I waited. And waited. And waited. After her 3rd call to security in about 15 min, she was obviously being asked what my demeanor was. I had already explained to her that I had an appointment across town at 1145, and with no security in sight yet I told her that I wanted a call from a manager or security with a resolution when they had "investigated" as I had already given her a verbal statement as to what happened. I left my phone number with her. She kept repeating that security was 'on their way' and didn't apologize in any way. It's now been almost 2 weeks since I checked out and I haven't heard from anyone connected to the hotel about this issue. Needless to say, the deal we got was not worth the time, effort and expense taken out of our trip to find a laundry and have ALL the clothing in 4 bags laundered and the expense of having to purchase a new suitcase because I couldn't stand the thought of bringing that one back into my home. I should note that about 10 minutes after I slipped on the wet sidewalk, which was witnessed by maintenance, one of the wet areas was blocked off with orange cones. I do have photos of the bug and of the standing water on the sidewalk.

Nice, quiet hotel, near the Strip

(+) The hotel locates pretty near the Strip, with around 15 mins walk. Wifi is available in room. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is quiet and clean, suitable after a whole day out loud. (-) Resort fee --- like all the resort here, i hate that extra 19$ per night. Room keys always have trouble if you put them near your mobile phone or credit card. The location is not bad, however, also not a short walk if your are tired walking along the Strip and still have to walk 15-20 mins more to be back hotel !
