Luxurious escape from casino hotels
Parents on a getaway weekend Nov 23, 2009
Great rooms that rival the Four Seasons. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value. We loved that it was not a casino and was ... smoke free. They also had a deal with Treasure Island for a 2-for-1 ticket offer to Mystere. Despite what we had heard, we felt that the decor was elegant and not tacky (at least by Vegas standards). Valets were efficient and helpful and the resort fee included parking and a couple bottles of water. The bathroom is great, especially the two-person tub. And we always felt safe with security and staff everywhere and a unique double entry door system to keep non hotel people away from your suite entrance. Only drawbacks were that the lot where the second tower is meant to be constructed is still empty and not safe to walk by from the strip after the mall closes at 9 PM. Shuttles and taxis abound so only an issue if you're walking out late. The lotion was not strong enough.

I was in town 3 days for business. I loved the fact that it's a non-smoking hotel! The rooms and decor were fantastic...and ... the beds were very comfy! Unfortunately, it is right next to train tracks that operates ALL NIGHT LONG!! It would wake me up with the extremely noisy whistle that wouldn't stop! As beautiful as the hotel was, I wouldn't stay there again because I need my sleep at night!

Beautiful Hotel
Katie Traveler Nov 23, 2009
The rooms at the Trump are beautiful - even the studios, the smallest room, are very large, with a whirlpool tub, great ... views, a kitchenette and a personal entry-way. The bed was a little too firm and the pillows are crazy hard and huge, but that's the only complaint I can come up with. The service was very nice - we got one of our dinners in room and the delivery was prompt, the server was knowledgable and friendly and the food was delicious. The only downside to this hotel is the location - it's a few blocks off of the strip and it's kind of a walk to get to some of the cooler casinos (like the Bellagio or MGM Grand). But, it was nice to step out of the hotel and have a quick break before entering the hustle and bustle of the strip.

My experience with this hotel was NOT THAT GREAT. First,i will start with the good. Beautiful hotel, and grand rooms. Con: ... When i first got there, they made me pay a deposit (Most people do). These people took 400$ from me off the top ($100 per night). Then they charge $15 per day fee (pool, fitness center, water in room), even if you don't untilize the amenities. Later during my stay, i check my bank account, and extra money was taken out! (Around $250). I went and talk to one to the staff and she told me, that was how the computer charged me. That did not make any since. Then her and a manager told me since i had my wife there, they should have held $800 for a deposit. I never been so disappointed in a place in my life! The manager told me she could write me a cashiers check for the $250 but when i check out, it would be billed (That does not make sense and $250 would still be taken from me). She finally call my bank, and got all my money returned to me. That messed me up because i came there will a small budget and they took half of it off the top (I would now have to wait for the money to return and hope i don't get any overdraft fee). There is more but...this is enough.

Stayed at one of the studios. They feel large and the bathroom is enormous. The kitchenette is stocked with high-quality ... items, like le creuset teapot. There are even martini and wine glasses and shakers. Feels very new and clean. Bathroom is lovely. Some people complain about the train, but we heard it only on Monday at 9am, which is hardly the middle of the night. The view from the 46th floor is magnificent. Make sure you understand that you will be tipping a lot in this hotel. You cannot even park your own car, there is only valet! But the price for the service is in the $15 resort fee. Gym is excellent, and the pool has a great view of Encore and Wynn, though it's not more than just a rectangular pool. Service is excellent. I would only add some more heating in the bathroom for the cold months.

The hotel was beautiful and the room was very nice. Valet service was very efficient. The bathroom was fantastic, but was ... not cleaned on our third day, just towels. Also light bulbs were not replaced when we left note to ask for them. Location was an issue if you did not have a car. Easy walk to the strip in the day light, but very dark and a bit scary at night. Vegas Visitor Nov 9, 2009
My husband and I went for an anniversary trip and wanted someplace a bit quieter. We were very impressed with this hotel. My ... husband travels a lot and stays in several 5 star hotels, and he said this one measured up nicely. The rooms were nice, and service was great. We enjoyed the DJ at the pool and didn't mind the lack of a casino- it was actually refreshing to have a quiet, smoke free place to come back to after walking around. It was a bit of a walk to get to several other hotels, but we expected this and didn't mind. We would stay here again.

Fantastic comfort and service for price
Female Business Traveler Nov 8, 2009
The room was actually a studio apt, very tasteful and comfortable. The lobby area was also very tasteful and sophisticated. ... Since this hotel does not have a casino,it lacks the frenetic pace of other high end hotels in the area The pool and fitness room were very nice. The only problem with this hotel is its location, about one quarter mile off the Strip. To get to the Strip, one must walk along a major road, which passes a large vacant litter strewn lot and lacks both adequate lighting and safety as one must walk on the street at times. It is regrettable that neither the City of Las Vegas nor The Trump Organization has been able to correct this serious shortcoming.

Jeff and Carol old married folks Oct 29, 2009
We went to Las Vegas for our 35th wedding anniversary. The staff throughout the Trump were consistently professional, ... courteous and attendant to our every need. we chose the Trump because we are nonsmokers and it is a nonsmoking facility. We talked to other couples who stayed in hotels that allowed smoking and even some of the smokers were complaining about the smell. No problem at Trump. No casino either and at times it is nice to get away for the gambling as well. The room was spotless and the shower and whirlpool tub were a plus. We only ate one meal at the Trump and were pleased with the food but with so many choices in Las Vegas why limit yourself. Truth is we didn't eat anywhere twice. The Trump is a short walk off the Strip and in easy walking distance of some of the larger new casinos. If you didn't feel like walking there was always a taxi available anytime we walked out the door. If you want one reason to stay at Trump the best recommendation we can give is the staff at the Trump. We interacted with staff at several other facilities in Las Vegas on this trip and none could hold a candle to the professionals at the Trump.

Rosemary's Restaurant at 8125 West Sahara. Dinner for two is expensive- $150.00 excluding tip but worth every penny. The meal was wonderful and the service was exceeded only by the food. The cab ride from Trump was about $25.00 each way and you should call ahead for reservations.

A refuge in crazy Vegas
catmom Oct 27, 2009
I realize the vast majority of visitors to Vegas are looking for casinos, smoking and crazy night-life, but for those few of ... us who need refuge, or who like to have your own light breakfast in-suite, don't want to have to walk through a smoke-hazed casino to get to your room, this is the place. It's also right across from the Fashion Show mall for great shopping if that is your thing. Only steps away from the strip, but no bright lights, no noise, no drunks in the hallways - very quiet place - and beautifully appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful; easy to valet park your car if you have a rental; easy to get taxis anywhere. We didn't try their in-house restaurant but I assume it was good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting some peace from the frenzy that is Vegas.

Our stay at the trump hotel was "awesome". From the moment we arrived we were met by warm and courteous stay who offered an ... upgrade at an affordable fee. This upgrade was the best investment in terms of improving our overall stay in Vegas. While we were there we shopped, danced at one of the clubs in a different hotel, and ate various foods. I would definitely vacation in las vegas again in the near future. Thanks orbit for helping my trip to be both rewarding and relaxing.

If you are tired of eating in the hotel, take a drive on Spring Mountain Rd. to china town where there is an assortment of Asian restaurants. And if you really wish to splurge for a great restaurant instead of the fancy ones on the strip that give you a spoonful of food for huge money, go to Rosemary on Sahara and Buffalo where the food is great and reasonably priced for being a world class restaurant. Best to have your own rental car, or it'd be worth the $25 - $30 taxi trip cost to enjoy this world class dining experience and service.
