Great Stay.

Would recommend Tue, Jun 14, 2011
My husband and I had a fabulous stay at The Trump. Right across from Nordstrom and Fashion Show Mall. Easy walks to The Palazzo and The Mirage where we saw shows. We loved that the hotel was non-smoking and non-gaming.

amazing birthday getaway!

Would recommend Sun, Jun 12, 2011
Didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but it's right across from the mall. Got a lot of shopping done and was very close to the Vegas strip! Never been to a hotel where there is a t.v. in the bathroom mirror! Bed was comfy and view was totally amazing.

Trump with Jump

Would recommend Tue, Jun 7, 2011
First time here after seeing it many times on other trips to Vegas. Initial impression was that this is comparable to any of the other high end offerings, just much less frantic. Lobby was as expected and there was NO LINE to check in. Talked to the VERY PLEASANT and efficient person at check in and told her i was scheduled to do the Stratosphere jump the next morning. She told me she had done it and gave me a bit of extra confidence to actually go through with it. She also gave me the complimentary upgrade. The room was SPECTACULAR. One bedroom with full kitchen, enpormous master bath and second bathroom off of the living aread with a shower. We have stayed in suites at Four Seasons, THE Hotel and Encore (all perfectly acceptable) and this was just a bit better. Didn't eat at the hotel, had unhurried, relaxed drinks in the lobby bar without the constant din of a casino nearby. While some have complained about the distance to the strip it really isn't that far considering other distances in vegas. We walked across the street to Nordstrom and went through the Fashion Show mall to get to the strip opposite Wynn. From here we can access anything Vegas related and still return to our oasis of sanity at Trump. BTW, did the Stratosphere jump and told everybody i ran into for the next 2 days that i had just jumped off of a building, pretty cool. Overall, highly recommended from a VERY particular reviewer.

Shopping hint

Fashion Show is not quite as high end as the newer places near Aria but has a very acceptable range. Second recommendation is Hugo's Cellar for a taste of old-style Las Vegas. You have to go through a smokey, worn casino but get a very nice traditional dining experience as a reward.

My husband and I came for a short get away, we loved the hotel, the room was beautiful! I loved coming back to the hotel and not having all the noise of the casino's. Just a quick note THEY HAVE SHUTTLES TO THE STRIP! we didn't notice that until the second day. A fantastic value, first class!

NIce place away from the hubbub

Nice to have the free shuttle to the Wynn and Ceasars! Very nice staff. Pool very crowded with too many Reserved chairs and no where to sit on a hot day.

Very good stay--needs more shuttle

Would recommend Mon, Jun 6, 2011
It was a very good experience. There is one shortcoming, and that is with their shuttle times to get to the rest of the Strip. Running only once an hour is not enough, and when it went to half-hour runs on the weekend, it stopped the returns at 11:30 p.m. (in Vegas!!), which doesn't allow you sufficient time to get to the pickup point even after a 9:30 show.

Loved it!!

Would recommend Sun, Jun 5, 2011
The hotel was very nice! It was fancy, and made you feel very high class to stay there. The staff was great and very helpful. I loved the free valet, I had them park my car and it stayed parked all weekend. The hotel had a shuttle that saved us a lot of money we would have had to spend on a cab. It goes to Ceasars Palace and the Wynn every hour. Overall I was very impressed with the hotel and my stay there. Will definitely go again!

Nightlife hint

Club Pure at Ceasars Palace was very nice! Had a lot of fun there.

Trump, a lot of glitz, but no substance

Would not recommend Sun, Jun 5, 2011
It's a decent enough hotel for an average city. It is, however, in Las Vegas. The room was small by Vegas standards. Nicely appointed, but nothing special. I paid $30 for 2 coffees that cost $4.00 at Starbucks, and it was Starbucks coffee. I had lunch at the restaurant, which also was decent, but nothing special. For the price this should have been a 4-5 star hotel. Instead it was a LaQuinta, with an Applebee's in the lobby. The prices, however, were not those of LaQuinta or Applebee's. I was very sorry the Venetian was booked that night. Also most of the women in the lobby appeared to be there professionally.

Dining

Eat at the Venetian Canal shops. We had a fabulous dinner at B&B Ristorante (Mario Batali's place)and it's a short walk. Skip the Trump restaurant. Overpriced, pretentious, and pedestrian.

Out of the way luxury

Would recommend Tue, May 31, 2011
We stayed in a studio suite and spent most of our time at the pool. The room was very nice. The jacuzzi tub saved us on our second day when the wind was too strong. The hotel staff (inside) was excellent. We ordered room service several times and found all the food to be excellent (but expensive). I figure after paying a cab to take me somewhere I would have spent the same amount. The two problems: the hotel was out of the way from the places I go in Vegas. We were always a $12 cab ride from everything. Second, the pool staff were all indifferent and occasionally rude. It was a busy weekend, but they were treating everyone like they were annoyed with them. I would stay here again, and I would definitely rent a pool side day bed.

Dining

The in hotel dining is great, but the breakfast Buffett is not really worth it. I preferred to order from the normal breakfast menu.
