Vegas Trip

Overall the hotel room and comfort of the room was great. If you expect to get service when playing slots you will be disappointed. I did not expect to win playing slots but dropping a few hundred a day should result in getting a drink if wanted. 5 days and waited upward of an hour before going to the bar to get a drink. Drinks at the restaurants and pool are way over priced, paid $54.00 for to bottles of beer a glass of wine and a 10 ounce mixed drink??? Last day there we took some bags to the Bell desk and went shopping. Came back to shower and change at 10:00am for flight and people were checked into our room. We had left money, drinks in the fridge (warm by the way) tooth brushes, razor and soap. When complaining they acted like it was our fault and acceptable. I thought check in was at 2:00pm and check out was at 11:00am? 5th trip to Vegas, will be back again but not at this hotel.

Could have been better

Wasnt all that impressed. Hated how there wasn't a microwave or a fan in the bathroom. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash sucked. Wish the pool stayed open later at night. Wish there was better sound proofing didn't sleep well at all. Wis h there was a coffee pot in the room. Water pressure in shower wasn't all that great. Dining wasn't all that good. Kahunaville was good. Buffet was ok. Overall it wasn't a bad stay just could have been better. Probably will not stay at this hotel again

Vacation

I guess I don't travel enough. I know that the hotel/casino make their money off of the gambling. I do think $53.00 for two people to have a normal breakfast is a bit high. I did not think the quality of food was very "upscale" at the Steak House.

Good mid-range hotel

Great location on the Strip. Check in took forever, very long line and no sense of speed from front desk clerks. Large room but it was obviously older. No insulation to speak of between rooms, but it was quiet for the first few nights. On our last night, we could hear bass thumping from somewhere. The bathroom wasn't all that clean, and the bedspread was stained. The bed was comfortable, however. We weren't in the room all that much, so for the price and location it was a decent deal. The business center was staffed by some really nice people who were very helpful. Wireless access in the hotel is spotty. Check out was quick and easy. Our overall thoughts on TI are that it's nothing special. Probably wouldn't stay there again; we stayed at Bill's on our last trip and, while it's much older and the casino is smoky, the room was awesome and you can't beat the price or central location.

Instead of standing in line for Cirque de Soleil Mystere tickets, call the box office. The line was at least an hour long every time we walked past it, but we called and bought tickets in 5 minutes.

Service needs improving

Overall, the hotel was a good experience. I recommend the petite suite and the free tickets to Cirque were a nice touch. However, I highly recommend staying away from the restaurants. The hosts and servers were very unfriendly, bordering on rude.

Hotel average. Nothing great. Had to pay for every little thing. Staff unfriendly. Buffet good but long lineups. Bartenders nice. No amenities like coffe maker, water, fruit bowl in lobby etc. towels thin and rough. Room kept clean though.

Mixed Feelings

The staff was friendly and seemed to be motivated to take good care of guests. The crowd was a little young for me. There seemed to be a lot of college age or just post-college age kids there. The music at the pool was entirely hip-hop and loud, very loud. There was a large contingent of hard partier's there most time. My 21 and 23 year old kids were okay with all that. I was a little less so. The only downside the entire trip was a young man I shared an elevator with at about 4:00AM the morning I was leaving. He was an unfriendly sort, had a confrontational demeanor, and I wondered if he was even a guest. I never saw any hotel security at the elevator lobby area, so all sorts of people just came and left from the guest area without having to show a room key. I thought that was too lax. All in all, it was an okay experience, but I think I will try another hotel for my next visit.

The walk over to the Secret Garden at the Mirage was a surprise. The number of large cats there was impressive and unlike the zoo you are very close and the cats were very active. I spent about 2 hours in the garden watching the tigers and the dolphins.
