Rooms
The Orleans Hotel and Casino offers 1,886 oversized rooms and suites, each with separate sitting areas. Standard rooms are decorated in an Americana style and include pillow-top mattresses, coffee-makers, standard televisions and marble vanities. On upper club-like floors, rooms feature more elegant decor, huge flat-screen TVs and larger sofas. One-bedroom suites offer an oversized soaking tub, and sitting, dining and wet bar areas. Wi-Fi is available in rooms for a fee or can be had for free in the lobby's Seattle's Best Coffee.
Features
Soak up the sun and sip a cocktail from The Orleans' ample pool deck with its bar, wading pool, large jacuzzi, cabanas (for a fee) and Fuddruckers snack bar. The spa sticks to core offerings like massages, facials, and full salon and barber shop services. A large fitness center is included in the resort fee. Classic Vegas entertainment comes to the Showroom, where entertainers like Don Rickles are the norm. Guests of all ages at The Orleans enjoy a bowling center, 18-screen movie theatre, video arcade and KidsTyme Child Care. Free shuttle service is available to The Orleans' sister property The Gold Coast as well as the Las Vegas Strip.
Dining
Savor the French Quarter and more with options like the formal Canal Street Grille, local's favorites Big Al's Oyster Bar and The Prime Rib Loft, casual Don Miguel's Mexican, Brendan's Irish Pub and sports lounge, Koji Asian and the French Market Buffet. Or opt for something familiar with TGI Fridays, a 24-hour Fuddruckers, Subway, Sbarro and Baskin-Robbins. There's also a package liquor store on the casino floor.

Wonderful hotel off the Strip
I always stay at the Orleans because it is convenient to my family whom I visit every year. Much less traffic because it's off the Strip. Very friendly staff and casual restaurants, as well as fancy ones with excellent food and value. I am amazed at how inexpensively I can stay here! Great casino where I can play tables for $5 minimum or poker slots for as little as a nickel. Love the atmosphere here too. I will return.

Sometimes Your The Windshield--Sometimes Your The Bug
I've stayed at the Orleans before so I really do have some baseline to judge. On this trip my first room has a very harsh musty oder. I was gonna live live with it but it just got to be too much and I requested a change of room. The front desk changed my room right away and apoligized. However, the bed in my new room probably should have been replaced a year or two ago. Like all rooms in the Orleans the cleanliness factor was just ok....but the rooms just show their age. You really do get what you pay for. It's a deal but a deal with consequences. Also if you want in-room internet it is going to cost you $12 a day. You read that right!!! There is free internet in the lobby and in the coffee shop. For my taste the buffet is horrible. There is a coffee shop (I didn't try it), a TGIF Fridays (average), a Fudruckers (overpriced hamburgers), a Sabarros (pretty good for Italian fast food), a Bakin and Robbins that is yummy. The Orleans is not in the worst area but is also not located in the best part of Vegas. I wouldn't chance walking around at night. There isn't too much within walking distance anyway. On the positive side: From 8am to Midnight there is a free shuttle from the Orleans right down to the middle of the strip. There is loads of free parking (covered and uncovered). There is also a Advantage Rent-A-Car place right next to the Orleans registration area. Very convient. Make sure you check in first before paying for your rental. When you check in they will give you a "fun book" that contains a coupon that is good for $5 off everyday of your rental. Sweet!!! If your trying to save a few bucks then the Orleans is not too bad of a choice. If you have an extra $30 per day to spend on your hotel room then I would upgrade...maybe to the Southpoint on the south side of the strip. It is really nice and the buffet rocks. Come to think of it the tequilla bar also rocks. One more thing that may or may not be of interest to you, the TV's in the room are the old style tube TV's not flat panels.

Short drive from hotel
good hotel to stay at if you don't care about being stuck on the strip. Orleans is a good launching point for tropicana, flamingo, I-15, or the strip.

Safe, Economical and Convenient
I had a great experience staying here. I have stayed at many hotels in Vegas on the strip, and this is hotel is one I will return to. The on site restaurants were so convenient, the staff was always polite and helpful, and the shuttle to the strip was excellent. Security was obvious, and the room was clean, quiet and very comfortable.

Perfect size hotel and casino
I enjoy the Orleans because it is off the Strip a little, making coming and going much easier. It is large enough to have many types of restaurants and casino games, but not so enormous that it takes all day to get to where you want to go. I ate at the Prime Rib Loft this time and found the selection and quality to be excellent! I can always find exactly what I want at the Orleans and plan to stay there again next year.
