Features

Classic Vegas entertainment comes to the Showroom, where entertainers like Don Rickles are the norm. Guests of all ages at The Orleans enjoy a bowling center, 18-screen movie theatre, video arcade and KidsTyme Child Care. Good Value

This was the third stay at The Orleans for my wife and myself. Just as the first two times, we had a great time. The restaurants are very good and reasonably priced, the staff was very friendly and helpful; and the rooms are a good size, comfortable and very affordable. Also, my wife had a great time at the spa which is much more affordable than the spa at the hotels on the strip. The only downfall is that the hotel are a bit far from the strip so cab rides are a bit longer and more expensive. We will definitely stay there again.

Dining tip: In Hotel

The Orleans has two "fine dining" restaurants. Both the "Prime Rib Loft" and "Canal Street" are excellent. If I had to pick one it would be "Canal Street."

Sometimes Your The Windshield--Sometimes Your The Bug

I've stayed at the Orleans before so I really do have some baseline to judge. On this trip my first room has a very harsh musty oder. I was gonna live live with it but it just got to be too much and I requested a change of room. The front desk changed my room right away and apoligized. However, the bed in my new room probably should have been replaced a year or two ago. Like all rooms in the Orleans the cleanliness factor was just ok....but the rooms just show their age. You really do get what you pay for. It's a deal but a deal with consequences. Also if you want in-room internet it is going to cost you $12 a day. You read that right!!! There is free internet in the lobby and in the coffee shop. For my taste the buffet is horrible. There is a coffee shop (I didn't try it), a TGIF Fridays (average), a Fudruckers (overpriced hamburgers), a Sabarros (pretty good for Italian fast food), a Bakin and Robbins that is yummy. The Orleans is not in the worst area but is also not located in the best part of Vegas. I wouldn't chance walking around at night. There isn't too much within walking distance anyway. On the positive side: From 8am to Midnight there is a free shuttle from the Orleans right down to the middle of the strip. There is loads of free parking (covered and uncovered). There is also a Advantage Rent-A-Car place right next to the Orleans registration area. Very convient. Make sure you check in first before paying for your rental. When you check in they will give you a "fun book" that contains a coupon that is good for $5 off everyday of your rental. Sweet!!! If your trying to save a few bucks then the Orleans is not too bad of a choice. If you have an extra $30 per day to spend on your hotel room then I would upgrade...maybe to the Southpoint on the south side of the strip. It is really nice and the buffet rocks. Come to think of it the tequilla bar also rocks. One more thing that may or may not be of interest to you, the TV's in the room are the old style tube TV's not flat panels.

A quiet value in Vegas

We have stayed at the Orleans on a previous vacation and this trip it did not disappoint. The room was tastefully decorated, roomy and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was too hot to need the hot tub but we had a great time swimming in the pool.

Great Hotel and Location in Las Vegas

Can't get any better for the location, cost and amenities. Good for the family as well. There is plenty to do, see and eat that you could stay for several days and never have to leave the hotel. We did rent a car which made travel around Vegas easy. But there are free shuttles to the strip if you so choose. However with a car, yo can come and go as you please and park at any casino and visit any restaurant in the area. The only down side is that the rooms, while incredibly spacious, are not so quiet. We could hear people talking in the halls, and the cleaning staff in the mornings. But we will stay there again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

good hotel to stay at if you don't care about being stuck on the strip. Orleans is a good launching point for tropicana, flamingo, I-15, or the strip.
