The Mirage, the hotel that introduced the concept of destination resort to the Las Vegas Strip, recently underwent a stunning transformation to maintain its preeminent position in what has become an increasingly competitive market. While introducing contemporary amenities designed to recapture the resort's leading-edge position, The Mirage maintains the exceptional service standards and sophisticated atmosphere that have distinguished it as a AAA Four Diamond Luxury Resort and Casino.
Once inside, a sun-lit atrium welcomes you with palm trees towering above waterfalls and pools. Already one of the most elaborate and technically advanced in the world, The Mirage aquarium recently underwent a transformation. New, brighter artificial corals evoke the exotic beauty of such tropical locales as Australia's Great Barrier Reef, while the addition of hundreds of new sea creatures provides a rare glimpse into the aquatic wonders of our planet.
The Mirage's 3,044 guest rooms and suites have undergone a $110 million dollar renovation. The new rooms will feature simple lines with an ergonomic design detailed to give a high-end feel, while warm woods and a bold color scheme transport the rooms into the realm of chic. Ultra-modern upgrades and amenities including LCD TVs and iHome MP3 docks provide everything necessary for a truly lavish experience to cater to both the leisure and business traveler (Mirage Events Center offers over 171,000-square-feet of convention space).
The Spa and celebrity stylist Kim Vo Salon, offers the latest in hair trends and treatments as well as manicures, pedicures, hair extensions and personalized makeup services. A barbershop provides men's grooming products along with traditional services. Enjoy a therapeutic massage or indulge yourself to one of our natural, soothing body and facial treatments in the new Spa at The Mirage.
The Mirage's lush tropical pool area includes two pools, three spas surrounded by waterfalls, private cabanas, and an outdoor café. Bare at The Mirage offers an exclusive adult alternative to the typical Las Vegas pool experience. With its distinctive contemporary ambiance and ultra VIP service, Bare is ideal for those wanting to relax, kick-back and socialize or turn up the music and heat up the day.
If lounging by the pool leaves you famished, try the wide variety of Fine Dining. From steak and seafood at kokomo's to Italian-American fare at Onda Ristorante, or modern contemporary Japanese cuisine at Japonais. Or, for a more casual setting stop by the Carnegie Deli (the only outpost outside of NYC), Cravings buffet, BLT Burger or the California Pizza Kitchen.
For entertainment, Cirque du Soleil's latest creation, "LOVE," showcases the music of The Beatles in a custom-built, multi-million dollar theater. Winner of "America's Got Talent," Terry Fator is the resort's resident impressionist/ventriloquist/singer/comedian. In addition, myriad lounges offer lively libations and live entertainment, and, of course, the tropical-themed casino has a wide variety of slots, video poker, and table games and a race and sports book.
*** Guests must be 21 or older to check in.
A resort fee of $15 plus tax per room per day will be assessed at the front desk. Resort fee includes in-room Internet access; daily newspapers and bottled water; daily access to Cardio Room (not including The Spa or fitness center); two robes provided for guest use during their stay; complimentary printing of boarding passes, complimentary notary services, unlimited local and toll-free calls, and free copies and faxes up to 5 pages.

Lovely hotel and a great location. Typical of Las Vegas hotels the check-in desk was miles from the guest elevators requiring ... you to walk through a busy, noisy, SMELLY, casino with luggage. The room was recently renovated and very contemporary, comfy bed, good bathroom amenities. Can someone tell me why all the Las Vegas hotels are charging a $15 per day plus tax "resort fee"? What do I get for this "fee"? A missing item that is considered BASIC SERVICE everywhere else in the world is a coffee maker in the room. Overall, due to the location the hotel was ideal for a quick trip, clean and the room spacious. It will be a long time before we go back due to the silliness of the "resort fee" and no simple pleasures like a paper delivered to the door and a coffee maker in the room. As an aside, the bartenders at the Sports Bar in the casino were rude and unfriendly. As we were playing the poker machines at the bar we were not charged for our drinks but others coming up to the bar and placing orders were charged horrendously high rates i.e. $24 for two well drinks. Wake up Las Vegas.

Desert Diva Dec 15, 2009
Nicely refurbished with modern amenities while still maintaining a straight forward Vegas style and physical footprint. So ... if you do not like navigating acres of confusing and endless facility this is a great place for you. That said, they really need to be more informative about their amenities and especially the restaurants. We thought watching channel 27 in our room would tell us all about the resort. Instead we got quick clips of abstract video with very little narration. Better advertising needed here for sure. Might not have left the hotel to go to others if we had known more about the restaurants in the Mirage. Also need indoor bell service instead of forcing guests to go back outside in the rain to have their bags stored like we did. Just not classy and certainly inefficient.

Mirage Hotel
Rodeo Girl Dec 14, 2009
This is a beautiful hotel. It was very crowded while I was there, and there was quite a wait to check in. But the room was ... outstanding. Very clean and well decorated. The walk from the check in desk to the room was pretty long, with suitcases in tow. No offer to help with bags, which was unfortunate. The main reason I give 3 instead of 4 stars was that it was incredibly noisy in my room. Granted, I had young drunks staying next door and across the hall, making a ton of noise, but I could even hear their TV through the wall, which I thought was extreme. Otherwise, it was a great hotel, in the absolute best location on the strip.

You cannot beat the location. We hit a show every night: La Reve, Jubilee!, the Rat Pack is Back, and Mystere. All but the ... Rat Pack is Back was in walking distance. All the shows were amazing and the drive out to the Plaza to see the Rat Pack and the Fremont Street Experiance was worth the cab fair.

One of premium view rooms (23rd floor) giving a view on south side of strip + pool area. Could see Eifel tower right from the ... bed- which was pretty nice. Unfortunately the lights that were turned on to "light up" the Mirage hotel itself interfered with what otherwise would have been a nice view. Some smell, probably a scent/air freshner, that is present everywhere - as though a reminder to you that you are in Mirage Good location. Can walk all the way to Bellagio to see the fountains. Dont miss that ;) Didnt gamble (yes) so cannot comment about the casino. A chinese restaurant was there but it was closed. I didnt see any specific mention about its closure, like temp or permanent. Need a long arm to reach toilet paper roll. Bathtub drain was a bit clogged. A call to housekeeping resulted in a guy showing up in 10 min. to fix.

Free passes to the dolphin habitat + secret garden comes with resort fee. Please make sure that the tigers (~ 10 or so, white and other colors), two cubs and lions (2+, white) are awake. When we went (as soon as the thing opened), everyone of them were sleeping which basically sucked. They represent about 80% of the animals there. There was a leopard, and other silly things. Dolphins were OK. The trainers make them do some stuff for 2 -3 min. Thats it. So, unless you get a free pass, this thing is NOT worth.

Mirage is an awesome hotel with great staff. Clean and updated!! Just be prepared to spend some money while you are there. ... There are almost no cheap dining options at the Mirage. There are other hotels where prices are lower for everything, but service and rooms are not as good as the Mirage. I guess you pay for what you get sometimes. Thank you Mirage hotel and staff. :)
