Located in the center of the Strip, The Mirage Resort and Casino Las Vegas offers contemporary guest accommodations with 3,044 guest rooms and lavish suites. The huge resort is known for the "live" volcano guarding the resort's entrance. Eruptions occur hourly every night. The 20,000-gallon lobby aquarium, dolphin habitat and Siegfried and Roy-inspired Secret Gardens offer guests a reprieve from the frenzied casino floor. For your entertainment, the resort hosts performances from Cirque du Soleil Beatles LOVE, Boyz II Men and top-notch comedians as part of the Aces of Comedy series. Take a plunge in the pool or enjoy European-style bathing at the Bare Pool lounge, here at The Mirage.

Location
Set on Las Vegas Boulevard South, The Mirage Hotel and Casino sits across the street from the Flamingo Hotel, where another wildlife habitat hosts a range of colorful birds, including a whole island of Chilean flamingos. See stars from the worlds of music, movies, sports and TV at Madame Tussauds, also opposite the hotel, or head a little further north for retail stores like Forever 21 and Saks Fifth Avenue at the Fashion Show Mall.

The Mirage : Improves with age.

I stayed at The Mirage during the first week of March Madness. Before the trip, I had read a number of scathing reviews on the internet. None of the concerns turned out to be an issue. The staff was courteous and helpful at all times. The cleaning staff was thorough and timely. The bathroom shower and faucets worked to perfection. The pool is spacious and I had no trouble getting a chair. Also, the music was played at a volume that didn't annoy and you could listen to music through your own head phones. The Mirage, though getting up in age, is a gorgeous property and I completely enjoyed my week there.

Dining tip: In Hotel

I would recommend the Craving buffet. Most of the restaurants are pricey, and the have most of the same food in the buffet...plus for dinner you get free beer and wine.

Need Get-a-way

It had been years since I was in Vegas, and I was happy to see that the Mirage was beautifuly upgraded and still a great value. I purchased a 3 day spa package that was well worth it.

Excelent place to stay

It was a pricy last-minute choice, but it was excelent. There was some line at the check-in, but the rest was perfect. The pool was great, and the bathroom really nice. We had a bad view from our room (3rd floor), but that is what you get for the cheapest room. Great place.

great location and comfortable stay

Staff able to give us room with Strip view upon request, no charge. Early check in, no problem. Room clean and quiet. Food in hotel restaurants was as all delicious, service a little slow. Good gambling. Pool is awesome. Very very few kids here. Centrally located. Great stay.

My review of The Mirage Hotel and Casino

Marage no longer has the volcanic eruption due to remodeling. Also missing were the two white tigers in the window. Secsret Garden was handsome, but only six dolphins and several aninmals.I just expected more for $15.00 admission. The swimming pool and area were fantastic. The new decor in the rooms refrshing and energetic. Loved Carnegie Deli and their pastrami sandwich.
