An explosive fire-breathing volcano, dancing dolphins, lagoons, waterfalls and an indoor coral reef all combine to create an exotic atmosphere at The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This upscale, Polynesian-themed hotel built by Steve Wynn in the 1990s offers decadent dining at steak restaurants like FIN and Tom Colicchio's, where meats are prepared with wood-burning ovens and charcoal grills. Casual places to grab a bite include the California Pizza Kitchen, Cravings Buffet and Starbucks. Pamper yourself with an Escape Package at the spa, or book one of the evening shows like The Beatles LOVE or Boyz II Men.

Great place to stay

Stayed at the Mirage 2years ago and was very pleased so it was an easy choice to make to return. The location is excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly the rooms are very good we had a standard room with a king size bed which was very comfortable. The only down thing about the hotel for me was the resort fee which is $25 per day which adds $175 for the week other than that excellent .

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

The outlet mall near to downtown we found to be really good and better than the mall nearer the airport.

Vegas

The hotel was very good all things considered. Pros- the room was very comfortable and clean with great air conditioning. The pool and other amenities were well managed and added greatly to the relaxed atmosphere, cons- waiting cues for food and feeling like I had a mile to walk from my room to get anywhere.

Amazing vacation!

We loved The Mirage Hotel! Its location is outstanding, next to Fashion Show Mall, Ceasar's Palace Shopping, and right across from The Venetian. Very clean and modern. One of the only Vegas Strip hotels that doesn't smell of cigarrette at the casino. I would 100 recommend it to anyone.

Needs refreshing

Used to stay here often. This was the first time in a while and was surprised how run down the hotel felt. The surrounding hotels are much nicer. The staff is very nice. The buffet does not compare to the other top hotels. Shame, it used to be the best.

Good time w/family

The room didn't have a microwave, refrigerator or coffee pot so we could have a hot cup of water, or a cold bottle water. Everything else was nice and comfy. The lunch buffet was good enough for the amount we spent.

Overall, OK

Room was nice, but there were mens boxer shorts (underwear) under the sink in the bathroom. My children found them and it made me feel like the bathroom wasn't sanitary.

not as good as I hoped

Ok, maybe for the name or maybe for the price but I expected better than "just ok". Granted it did not take an hour (15 min) to get from room to front exit and that was a major plus, same for parking garage. Check in/out was easy and close to both exits. Hotel's air freshener/fragrance was overwhelming though. Room/bath needs updating. Beds/pillows were comfy though. Too bad. Restaurants overpriced of course. Was disappointed. Have only stayed at Caesar's before and thought Mirage would be a good change...but love the location!
