Disappointed

Came to LV for concert @ Coliseum. Took a risk staying at the Linq. Very disappointed. Small room. No coffee make in room. Charged for toll-free phone calls. Housekeeping poor.

Waaaaaay Better Than Expected

We arrived in Vegas around 11:30 Monday evening. Luckily for us, we arrived on a less busy night so check in took all of 10 minutes. The check in lines were longer during the other days but this was mainly the case in the late morning and afternoon hours. I'm sure this is so for most of the hotels though so this place isn't in its on here. I booked the High Roller room but it was already taken so I was upgraded to a suite on the 20th floor without any hesitation. The room was terrific!! The bed was comfortable and the suite was very spacious. The hotel was located very conveniently on the strip. After our initial taxi drop off at check in, we walked everywhere we wanted to go for the remainder of our stay. This helped to save a little money that was enjoyed in other places. There were tons of shopping areas of all types on both directions so this was a major plus as well!! The staff was friendly, the casino was clean and the restaurants were good. We ate breakfast at the Hash which was awesome but I wasn't as impressed with lunch at Guy's. The food was good but I expected a more eclectic menu other than just being your normal high end burger bar. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location was excellent and we didn't encounter any major noise or construction issues like some of the other prior posts had mentioned. The hotel has been renovated and seems to be moving its way up the popularity list. This hotel would benefit from having a more popular headliner making nightly show appearances and could also possibly benefit some from increasing the square footage of the pool. The pool area was good but very crowded buy enjoyable. I totally recommend this place!!! If I ever make it back to Vegas, I will more than likely be staying at The Linq

Great location & fun inside -but some issues!

I loved the location of this hotel - right in the middle of the strip, opposite Caesar's Palace. The casino itself is a good size, nice and clean, fun and some great bars to hang out in after coming back from a night clubbing or drinking elsewhere. I'd definitely recommend this hotel based on the clean spacious rooms (minimal, but great value for money), casino floor and general ambience. With all that being said, there were a couple of things that drove us crazy! When I stayed in Tower 1 the first 2 nights with my brother, I had no problems with the elevators. However, when I moved to Tower 3 on the last night with my husband, we would wait for up to 10 minutes for an elevator!! It was a nightmare! We finally discovered a set of stairs when we were checking out and joined throngs of people dragged their luggage downstairs to check out (this is after we waited for 10 minutes with 15 other people on our floor for an elevator!). So if you stay here, stay away from Tower 3! The only other thing that was a bit hit or miss was the cell phone reception we had inside the casino (pretty much non existent, but would work the second we walked outside, so not sure if they are scrambling it) and the WI-FI. Room wi-fi worked fine for me, but not for my brother. He could get wi-fi in the casino, but I couldn't. So, it was all a bit strange. I'm hoping they work to fix this, because if they do, then I would definitely stay here again.

St pattys Day and bday

Last time I stayed here it was imperial palace so, just seeing the change was phenomenal for me! I've stayed at luxor, mgm, stratosphere, Excalibur, and Tropicana. By far this was my favorite hotel not only because of the location but, the rooms were beautiful. The views were even awesome from any part of the hotel. I will definitely book here for my next trip to Vegas!!

Mixed review

Front line staff were very nice and responsive. It was clear they had heard many complaints about the very poor signage throughout the complex. I was upgraded to a suite (with a view of other rooms) due to signage issues and because I was given a very smoky non-smoking room. The suite had no frig or micro, had only one packet of sugar, creamer, etc. for 5 single coffee packs, no decaf options. Wifi was not a simple click/click as you would find in any little old motel. Dumb set-up to get connected. Over all The LInq seemed to be designed for young folks who were used to a lot of confusion and noise who were not looking for even 3 star accommodations. BUT!! Someone has done a very good job hiring 5 star front line staff!

Killed my birthday celebration

Ughh I really wanted to give four stars because the overall experience wasn't terrible at all! I had a great time HOWEVER...there are a lot of things they need to work on and I agree with other reviews saying to wait until The Linq has their stuff together. So I stayed during the week of 5/5 to 5/9 for a birthday trip with my boyfriend. My flight came in 2 hours before check in so there weren't any issues with checking in a little early. The lady at the front desk vented to me how others didn't know about the incidentals charge and resort fee before checking in (which I completely understand. I always call a hotel a week before I check in to confirm my reservation and ask for any charges they have for the stay). If you pay attention to what the staff says about the room number, you won't be confused lol The rooms are a decent size (not sure why everyone was saying how small they were). I had a deluxe king room and had a nice view of the Promenade and the High Roller from the 18th floor. All of the restaurants were delish and the Promenade is super fun to walk around. The Linq is smack dab in the middle of the strip so the possibilities for entertainment are infinite. The last night, we rode the High Roller which was pretty cool. I also went to the spa the day after it opened and amazing is an understatement. The entire spa staff was friendly and so nice to say the least (thanks Stephanie, Jodi and Melissa!) and really helped me relax for the morning. As for the things that they can fix, I think the incidentals charge is really high at $75/night, especially when you stay for longer than 3 nights and pay the resort fee on top of that. Before my trip, I called the hotel and specifically asked for my room charges to be subtracted from the incidentals charge upon check out. I was told this was fine and that a note would be made on my account to do so. Apparently, they couldn't do that and the hotel instead charged me double and the refunded the first charges a few days after checking out (wasn't fun having close to $600 missing from your bank account for a good week). So I had to go down to the lobby and when trying to find out why I was charged, it took the staff close to 30 minutes to figure out why they did it and I was given some bs explanation of why they couldn't take it out of my incidentals charge, even though I was told they could and the note being made on my account. They could have at least honored it. My disappointment continued after my trip was done when I realized that they didn't credit my room the $25 food & beverage for the power going out on one of the nights so I had to call and spend 20 minutes trying to get it refunded. It was fixed but still a pain since we went to Guy Fieri's restaurant specifically for the room credit towards our bill. And the housekeeping people were kind of jerks kicking us out of our room abruptly at like 10am to finally clean the day before we checked out after not having our room cleaned for 4 days. Overall, a pretty cool hotel. It's definitely for a younger crowd but my boyfriend and I didn't mind the noise since we're close to mid 20s in age. I didn't get a chance to gamble but every time we were in the lobby walking past tables, people seemed to be winning and screaming with joy haha. I might stay here again but maybe in a year or so IF they don't close down by then or change ownership. Please fix the issues and I will definitely be staying again.
