Mandalay Bay Resort is located at the southern end of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, adjacent to the pyramid-shaped Luxor Resort.
Located on the top floor of THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, the modish and astral lounge presents stellar cocktail concoctions and an innovative bar menu in a stylish-hip environment framed by breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip. Decked entirely in dark brown faux leather from floor to ceiling, Mix Lounge offers custom-designed seats lining the main curved banquette. Accompanying spun aluminum tables release a glowing orange light from beneath. While the 18' tall transparent acrylic walls surrounding Mix afford a stunning view of the lights of Las Vegas, to truly appreciate the view, guests may step out to an outdoor patio which runs almost the entire length of the Mix lounge. Large lounge beds with polished aluminum cocktail tables topped by glowing glass candles complete this one-of-a-kind outdoor experience.
Soaring high into the sky atop THEhotel at Mandalay Bay is Mix in Las Vegas, a perfect combination of culinary art, cutting edge interior design and ambiance, and astounding vistas of the Las Vegas Strip. The awe inspiring interiors are equaled only by the panoramic views afforded from every seat through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that gaze out 400 feet above the neon desert. The restaurant features contemporary and classic French and American dishes with global accents, as well as signature dishes from Alain Ducasse's restaurants in Paris and Monte Carlo.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this resort cafe offers a wide selection of delectable items in an al fresco setting within the grand lobby.
This lobby bar and billiards lounge offers a comfortable and relaxing place to unwind with colleagues after a long day on the convention floor. Meet with friends here to begin a night full of entertaining. Or, finish off a perfect evening with a soothing night-cap
For that first pick-me-up in the morning or a soothing iced latte after a day in the sun, the coffee bar has what you need. Pastries, fruit and juices offer a satisfying complement. For a quick lunch or snack the coffee bar offers sandwiches, salads, and delicious desserts
THEhotel also features "business suites" located directly adjacent to the 5,000 square feet of conference and function space on Floors 3-6. These Business Suites are the same suites you'll find on floors 7-38, but their location affords the business guest the convenience of having the sleeping room on the same floor as the business meeting.

What a lovely hotel! Very chic, tranquil and the suite was beautifully decorated and quite spacious. What a tub! You'll ... definitely want to soak... Nice hotel, but it needs some extra..
Overseas Mom Dec 30, 2009
We stayed for 10 nights.. The rooms were nicely designed, but to have a 5-star(?) ranking there are more to be wished ... for-"attention to details..." Just a coffeshop to buy a few selection of breakfast in the morning. Ex. one morning the toaster didnīt work, the next morning: no bagels, the third morning: out of juice.. The prices were also very high!! In the room there were a small refridgerator, but a sign telling that you were charged if you moved the items and put in your own things. Who would want to buy drinks for those prices? And if there werenīt breakfast to buy in the hotel, what to do? Since we stayed for such a long time, we really wanted a good view. We changed rooms twice..

Mr Onion which is a short walk had 9.99 prime rib dinner that was excellent. Also New York/New York had more reasonable priced dinners. Which was a tram ride away.

If you are not in a hurry, a multi-day bus pass let's you do the on and off thing for a really good price. The buses do get crowded and it is time consuming, but you get to go to a lot of places for a little fare. Cheaper than sitting in front of the slots.

Check-in was quick and receptionist was very courteous. We asked for an upgrade and were told that since there was such a low ... occupancy during our stay that wasn't a problem and they put us in a nice suite without any extra fees. we really appreciated that. The staff from the front desk to the doorman and cleaning crew were very friendly. The amenities were great. I strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quite and pleasant Vegas stay as a young or middle-age couple without children or simply traveling for business.

Location was a little out of the way, but trams, cabs and the bus were all accessible. The staff was friendly and extremely ... helpful. Restaurants were good. We were surprised by the number of families with small children -- Never thought of Vegas as a family vacation town, but I guess it works or so many people wouldn't be doing it. Wish we had been able to use the pool and outside facilities, but they were closed for the winter. Overall, THEhotel at Mandalay Bay was a great place to stay and was certainly worth the price.

Bathroom and bedroom sizes were very roomy. My wife really enjoyed the oversize tub. Even though our room was fairly close ... to elevator and ice machines, interior noise was not a factor. Hotel must be very close to fire station as there were sirens EVERY night.

Great place to stay
fun traveler Dec 20, 2009
This is a great place to stay in vegas. We had a great time and the rooms are excellent and it was great to be in a suite. If ... you get a good deal you should deff. stay here. The only thing is that it is far from the main area of the strip, so if thats what you want then this is no it. This is a classy place and is attatched to the mandaly bay so you have the casino/restaurants right there. The only thing is that mandalay is relaxed and not very exciting like some hotels on the strip. If you are going as a cpl or if u like it quiet and clean this is a great place but if i was with a bunch of friends it might have been more fun to be closer to the vegas action. It was deffinetly worth the price plus they dont charge any extra resort fees! Just bring walking shoes!

The suite was very attractive and well furnised. We went to some shows and a couple of restaurants. Nobhill restaurant was ... really good. we enjoyed the lounge on the 64 floor of the hotel. Fantastic views. The location of the hotel does mean you have to be up for long walks. The monorail does not operate in the morning, resulting in quite a hike to reach the strip.

It is a stylish modern hotel that is attached to the mandalay bay complex. So you have all the gambeling etc close by, but ... not in your actual tower. Makes for a quiter, cleaner stay with les riff raff. But you are just a few minutes from the typical vegas hotel. It is a bit of a pain to be so far on one end of the stip but cabs are always plenty and available. the rooms are new and stylish, although housekeeping didnt show up our first day without us complaining.

The Bayside Buffet in this hotel is a MUST have whether Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The All Day Buffet price is very worth it. but if you are a night owl like we were and seeking a place to eat outside of room serivce, you would need to leave the hotel and YOU MUST check out a place called The Peppermill Restaurant; open 24 hours - great food. The Hotel outside of room service does not have a great selection after 11pm. The Rafters Cafe is over priced and the food tasted like cardboard.
--Alisa - Vegas Virgin, Tampa, FL Aug 22, 2009
The Heathy Food store in Town Square is a great find - This store wins hands down for a healthy alternative to the food on the Strip and hotels - which is often mediocre and very expensive. You'll also find some great shopping bargains in the adjacent stores.
