clean it up
The Hotel at Mandalay Bay was indeed impressive, but dissapointing. When I got to our room which was to be for four of us there werent enough towels , crumbs on couch, and dust, and a soiled bedspread, and a cracked coffee table. My mother-in-law had already unpacked before we noticed all the problems and didnt want to change rooms. If I had to do it over I would of. Also the mountain view included loud air conditioner units on a roof below that sounded like a jet engine. Long walk to pool.

The Hotel at Mandalay Bay
I was very happy to see that Kathy Griffin was visiting. We managed to catch her show that night when we arrived. It was really good. The lady who helped us reserve our seats was very friendly. Unfortunately I found that the room was not very clean. There was hair in the bath tub and dusty shelfs in the bathroom. The service down at the store offering a variety of necessities were not very good/friendly. That also includes the little pastry/coffee counter located as you are walking towards the check in area, you will have it on your right side. They did not look like they wanted to be there.

almost as overrated at the city center
This place is very nice; but it lacks a lot. Like all mgm properties, the staff is great, and there is something for everyone. However, for what you pay and what you don't get.. stay somewhere else. What you will love is the pools here!!!! well at the M. Bay

The Hotel at Mandalay Bay
Our stay at the Mandalay Bay was full of surprises. We were travelling with two children and thought that the suites at the Mandalay Bay would be perfect for our party of 4. Surprise, when we arrived we learned that the couches are not fold out couches so we had to settle for a double bed room and my wife and I had no privacy. The entire hotel itself is unpleasantly dark and the interior decor of the rooms is no different. If you are promised the buffet as part of a perk to stay at the hotel--beware. THe line is around the building up to an hour and the waitresses are like watchdogs who refused to allow me to leave with a pastry. If you want a cup of coffee that you self make in your room, the charge is $5. The bathub is plasticy even though it is big and the entire feeling of this hotel is that it hasn't been updated in years. Also, location wise this is at the top of the strip--so its a bit of a hassle to go anywhere else. Stay away or get a better value on the strip.

Short walk from hotel
Stay away from the half price tickets. They misdirect you to shows that no one wants to see and lie about shows being unavailable.

Resort Fee is a rip off!!
We requsted non-smoking room but we can smell the smoke in the bathroom everyday. Housekeeping needs imporvement where we found a clump of hair on the floor when we checked in and our room was not cleaned until we had had to raise a stink after 3:30PM everyday. In addition, the resort fee of $20 a day plus 12% tax was supposed to include wireless, gym, internet, etc but we did not get any of those ammenities. The gym was $15 a day per person and there was a charge for wireless. I feel like I did not get what I paid for and the front desk folks were rude.

Yearly spring break vacation
I was disappointed with the hotel. We stay every year at the Mandalay Bayfor the past 4 years- this year we tried the hotel. The check in line was very long, the aroma in the hotel is overpowering! Our room took over two hours to be ready. The wi-fi did not work I our room nor did the scale.

Clogged sink dirty floor
The key I was given did not work the next morning. I went to the front desk and was issued another key. That key didn't work. I went down again and was issued another key. IT DIDN'T WORK. They issued another key which did not work. I was furious, they finally figured out the battery was broken at the door. I had to have them come up and fix it. It was a huge inconvenience. The hotel staff was not very appologetic. They kept saying I put it by my cell phone, which I did not. Very annoying when I was trying to get back from the pool and get showered to check out.

THE Hotel
THE Hotel is a little pricey and the room had broken glass in the carpet which my wife stepped in and cut her foot! They only offered a $25.00 comp and did not even move our luggage to the new room. Other than that the trip was great and cabanas at the pool are the way to go but you can stay at Mandalay Bay and still get a cabana. Go see The Variety Show with Wally Eastwood!

Good accommodation but there are better places in Vegas
This hotel is too far from the where the action is on the strip. Moreover they charge for EVERYTHING, even for coffee in the room which is supposedly standard in all hotels! Overall the accommodation is good but man the walk to the strip back and forth was tiring. If you enjoy the strip like I do, try to stay in the other hotels.
