TheHotel at Mandalay Bay
It was during the week and was OK. I have stayed there before when it first opened and the rooms are starting to show wear and tear. The food and drink is exorbitantly expensive. $30 for two bourbon and cokes is cray. I can see it in the cubs, but not in the hotel casino bar. Will I go back? Yes. But unless things change, I will start looking at other options.

Aureole - If you are a true wine aficionado, then Aureole is the place in Vegas to go. 10,000 bottle wine tower and several cellers to back it up. Wine list is so expansive that it is on computer tablets... Food is good and the wines by the glass are decent enough.

Nice Rooms But Not A 5 Star Experience
Let me start by saying THE hotel has great rooms. All rooms are a full suite with living room and bedroom. It is clean and well kept. We did find some things odd in this hotel though. For starters, each room has a Keurig coffee maker in it, but there is a charge (about $4) if you make yourself a coffee. Very odd for a "5 Star" hotel as almost every hotel I stay in has a complimentary coffee maker. This is especially odd considering you pay a daily Resort Fee to stay at THE hotel. They also pump a perfume of some sort into the public areas of the hotel. This is far from subtle, when you walk into the hotel it hits you like a ton of bricks - it's very overpowering. I have light asthma, and it did irritate my lungs. Even my Wife found it too much. Breakfast was also included with our package for one morning of the stay, but no one was quite sure what that entailed. We were told to eat at the Buffet, but our credit wouldn't have covered the cost of the meal, we were then told just to eat at any restaurant and $40.00 would be deducted from our bill. When we went to check out the credit had not been applied, no one knew how to do it, or how the program even worked. They finally gave us a credit against our room rate to "fix it". This was a real surprise as this hotel is owned by MGM Resorts who owns a number of the mega resorts on the strip. You'd think they'd have something like this figured out by now.

Horrendous Housekeeping
Housekeeping failed to clean our room two days in a row. After complaining at 4pm that my room had not been serviced, a manager came up to apologize and promised that the room we be cleaned immmediately. We went to dinner and when we returned at 11pm, still no cleaning. After complaining a second time, they came up immediately, but did not finish until after midnight. However, the hotel did the right thing by me and comptedme for a days stay. Other than that, I would definitely go back. Room was spacious and well appointed.

very mixture-high class room, but family amenities.
I love the room so much which fits for people who need a quite environment. The room keeps privacy. Just the hotel's amentity is a sand beach, which i can see people carrying the tubes around the lobby and casino, which not quite fit into the room's atmosphere.

Nicely furnished room
THEhotel at Mandalay Bay is situated on the strip adjacent to the Four Seasons. I found THEhotel to be chic & modern with a boutique feel. My dinning experience at MIX restaurant proved to be exceptional. You arrive via an express elevator to the 64th floor that's encapsulated in glass. It's adorned with a stunning glass chandelier complemented by contemporary furnishings. The food was a culinary delight. The view and atmosphere from the adjoining nightclub/lounge is intoxicating. The music is awful. It wasn't country, rock, R&B, hip hop, jazz or anything else that I could identify with. I found my guest room tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Don't even try to get housekeeping. On day one I let the line ring for over 15 minutes, day two was worse as well as day three. I never ever had anyone answer. I enjoyed the spa. Front desk staff is courteous.

Quiet hotel
The suite was very nice but it was obvious the living room carpet had not been vacuumed. There were no robes in the bedroom closet and there are no words to describe the duvet cover on the bed. It appeared a previous guest had been to the pool and had oil or suntan lotion on and laid down on the bed. There were grease spots all over the top, sides of the cover and the pillow shams. We called the front desk to complain. We got our robes in about 15 minutes but after more than an hour no one had come up to replace the bedding or vacuum. I went down to the front desk and asked for the manager and explained all the problems. She apologized and said it would be taken care of right way but there was no excuse for the condition of the room. She offered us a $75.00 dining credit at some of the property restaurants which we did use on our stay. Shortly after I returned to the room someone from housekeeping did take care of everything, she was very nice and very thorough. We finally were able to settle in about 5-6 hours after we arrived and go to dinner. Each day we had to ask for towels as they would take the dirty ones away and not replace them, some days we had no hand towels or wash clothes. Besides the issues the first day and the towels not being replaced the overall atmosphere of THEHotel, the size of the standard suites and how quiet it was made the stay enjoyable. One night, around midnight and 3:00 am a group of women staying in the suite next to us were yelling down the hall but all we had to do was close the bedroom door and it was very quiet. This is a definite plus vs. a regular room in Vegas.

We ate at Border Grill at Mandalay Bay for my husband's birthday; the food and service were great and prices are very reasonable for Las Vegas. Eat outside if possible, very relaxing atmosphere. Try the Tres Leches for dessert, awesome.

Beautiful rooms but poor houskeeping service
The suites at THEHotel are great, plasma TV's in every room. 1 full bath and half bath, w/a full wet bar. My only complaint was that we left our room around 1pm to come back and find that it hadn't been cleaned. Which wasn't that big a deal. However, when we called for towels it took them over an hour to bring them. We called housekeeping 3 times and the front desk once before they delivered them. 3 people in the room had to shower w/dirty towels. Gross! Again, other than the dirty room/towel episode. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, plus I love the beach at Mandalay, it's what keeps me coming back.
